Some of my friends are trying to guess who will they find as a Joker substitute, Maybe johnny depp?

Anyway... I thought the nurse outfit was hillarious as well, but even more when he walks out just before bombs go out.

I agree with you. When he walked out was the funniest, especially the way he was walking ahaha.

Yeah!!! It look like he was even wearing nurse pantyhose :p

Anyway, I can't wait for this movie to come out on dvd so I can make a high-res wallpaper of that!

I saw this on Saturday and oh my GOD is this movie AMAZING. It seriously throws around like concepts that are so far fetched and totally stun you right away...

You really get that feeling, that same feeling you get when you see the final epic battles of LOTR3.

No spoiler here, but I have to give Nolan 2 thumbs up for keeping this realistic, no freak accidents that corrupts

someones DNA making them super human and totally G-H-E-Y. That's what made Spiderman a total dip.

I watched it a few days ago but only found time to post my views now, and I must say that I was very pleased by it. The action didn't let up from start to finish and it was certainly an enjoyable ride. The cast was solid, with Heath Ledger and Aaron Eckhart as The Joker and Harvey Dent/Harvey Two-Face deserving praise for their acting. The Joker's entrance was certainly the best I've seen in a while with the "magic trick" while Harvey's transformation into Two-Face is certainly a memorable one.

Scenes that I say after this is considered a spoiler:

- Did anyone notice that The Joker was wearing a "I believe in Harvey Dent" badge before he blew up the hospital :p ? I certainly laughed at that, and his mannerisms when trying to detonate the building!

- The magic trick was pure genius, I laughed out loud when it "disappeared" !

- I'm still unsure about Harvey and whether or not he is really dead. He could easily be put into a coma or something, it's not far fetched.

- A bit sad that we didn't see a lot of Wayne Manor, but oh well.

- There were quite a number of Bruce Wayne action scenes compared to Batman Begins, and I find that a bit refreshing.

- The Hong Kong scene was the most breathtaking while the use of the Sonar eyes during the last part was a bit too far fetched, though this all my opinion.

All in all, a 9.75 over 10.

Yeah cause falling of a several stores doesn't kill two-face only dent? He had no protection, while batman had his exoskeleton suit.

Anyway, even though two face is awesome, we already saw him, my hype is down... Bring on new fiends!

Are you guys completely forgetting the foreshadowing from the scene with the mob boss that Batman drops about 3 stories? Coincidentally, about the same height that Two-Face falls from? There is otherwise really no reason for that scene, other than to show how far Batman is willing to go (torture-wise) to get what he wants, although that was made pretty clear in the interrogation scene. Of course he's not dead - from a 3 story fall? Come on...

The thing is, when Salvatore Maroni fell, he was upright. Meaning balanced & has a chance to fall on his feet. With Two Face, he was tackled by Batman. Who knows how he fell. On his neck or whatever. He's dead.

In the movie, Gordon has two kids. Son (James) & daughter (Hannah). While his wife's name was Barbara. Funny, in the comics, his daughter's name is Barbara aka Batgirl. Wonder why Nolan changed it around.

You actually have less of a chance of being injured at all from a couple story fall if you can land flat and not upright - the impact is displaced all over your body instead of onto just one place, like the feet/legs as in the Maroni scene.

I won't be miffed one way or the other if Dent is dead - doesn't make a difference to me, but if he is, I don't think they did a convincing job of showing it at the end.

I'm not sure the Joker was true to the Batman series

The original Joker, back before the TV series, back before the character was initially canned and re-drafted as a prankster by federal laws about violence in comics - VERY true to this version of the joker!

Just got back from a local screening and oh my god probably the more amazing movie ever but I am still not sure it deserves the top spot on IMDB I went to IMDB just now and gave it an 8. As for the film just so amazing as I said the Joker was spot on and Harvey Dent as two face was immense when he changed he turned just as sadistic as the Joker. I think it was not just Heath that stood out really Aaron Eckhart was just as good as was Oldman so if Heath gets nominated then they should be given one as well.

But I have to say....do you want to see a magic trick? :p

It doesn't deserve to be tops on IMDB. The more I think about it, the more I think the movie is closer to 7.5 of 10 than the 8.5 I originally gave. I don't think the merit of the movie should be hinged on one actor's performance, which is where I think TDK's real strength is. If the Joker performance had been average, no one would be making this top of the chart. There wasn't enough in the other performances or even in the story itself to merit the top spot. It wasn't all that gripping, evocative, or surprising, and I didn't really care about any of the characters. But, I've seen this relationship between the Joker and Batman numerous times in comics, and it was always more interesting. Maybe I'm not feeling Bale as Batman. He's kind of dull for such a complex character.

In terms of comic book adaptation movies, it's definitely the best of the breed, with Ironman nipping at its heels. In terms of movies ever made, it's not even close to being the best.

The first movie was the proverbial action-hero-flick.

This one was about Gotham, not about the heroes/villains. Harvey-Batman-Joker were the vehicle of that.

Hmm, I would be more included to call it a horror flick. The music, cinematography, suspense, deception, and surprise used throughout are what make both this and Begins such a new style of superhero movie.

I thought this movie absolutely lived up to the hype for me.

It was great to be able to watch a 'superhero' movie which didn't simply have a whole bunch of action sequences but which focused on and developed the question of morality and power.

which I fully agree with. But I must add that Ledger did an exceptional job - lived up to all the reviews.

Also, it was nice to see a film without all the blood and gore of recent other movies.

Just a good film which was spot-on in conveying its message. Kudos to Christopher Nolan.

I just got back from watching the two and a half hour film. The movies best quality was how suspenseful it was... your always on the edge of your seat as the movie takes you in a go-go-go fashion. I just can't compare this to Ironman as RDJ did such an amazing job, but The Dark Knight was truly a great movie. Quality like that will keep people going to the theaters... in its second week, it was still packed!

...and it had to be Ledger's best performance ever.

I saw the film twice over the weekend, and it's certainly more enjoyable the second time around. Everything just falls into place. The plot and story (mob related) doesn't seem as elaborate as you initially think, it's just difficult to take in due the pacing of the film. It's relentless, and that's why I enjoyed it so much.

I'm so glad they killed Dawes off. Such a needless character, I felt nothing when she was strapped to the oil barrells, or dropped out of the window. Gyllenhaal was poor - she certainly didn't better Holmes' effort.

We didn't see Wayne Manor at all. Alfred did mention that it was in the process of being re-built though.

I missed the cave :(

Yeah, all we got was a lighted corridor :p . And I love the soundtrack, listening to it right now  .

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
