I went to see it last Sunday, absolutely fantastic :woot: I loved every minute of it  I'm looking forward to picking it up on Blu-Ray :) I actually watched Batman Begins (on Blu-Ray) the night before I saw the Dark Knight as a quick refresher :p

You didn't pick up on any logical defects or any problems with the movie?! Were you wearing beer goggles? j/k

To those who are complaining about batman's voice and "unsexy" love interest...

What are you? 14?

Batman's voice had too much bass, maybe it was just overdone editing.

Also, I would have expected a more attractive love interest and not a very plain / average actress, also her acting was not convincing. When she wrote that letter to Bruce Wayne - I felt nothing and when she got blown up - I actually felt relieved. :/ I know this sounds very rough but she was a really poor choice.

Selfpwnage :p

On the so serious topic, I would've loved to know how he really got those scars... I think it's probably a mix between the two stories he tells. On the next batman I'd like to see ( although I don't know how that would fit in the new movie) the jokers origins :p with some young guy, just showing what pushed him over the edge, maybe no more than 5 min :p :D

Nolan's Batman its more than a literal translation from the comic. Its based on certain logic rules, one of them is that a voice can be recognized.

Also, WHY IN HELL A LOVE INTEREST MUST BE SEXY? Thats hollywood speaking.

just showing what pushed him over the edge

its like gravity... :shiftyninja:

Agree.. voices can be recognized easily! Seriously, the thing over the voice is so overdone like that " 6-10" discussion!

Also I like how they reduced then nipple viewing from Batman Begins, which seemed Katie Holmes put ice on her boobs just before she appeared. And also agree, Showing skin is so hollywoodesque it's boring... Not saying it's not NICE to look at. But sometimes, like this in movie is not needed...

Seriously, when Bruce and Rachel kissed My first thoughts where "great another sex scene in a super hero movie" But alas! Nothing!!! I thought that was grand!

I wasn't annoyed with his voice, but I can see why some didn't like it.

But how can you nitpick on something like the looks of his love interest. Bruce is a playboy with his outside image. But he was faithfully in love with his childhood friend. You can't control how she looks as she gets older. But I agree that I didn't feel anything when she died. But I don't think that's because of Maggie's acting or looks. More like how Dawes was written.

Guys, it was a great movie. everyone acted good except that actress they all loved. What could be the problem with it? at least it much more believable than V for Vendetta.

and so what if the voice had more bass on it, how could that be annoying or anything??. i like the ending but i think there must have been any other way to make batman remain the good guy.

Agreed. I really, really get tired of unneeded sex scenes and nipples poking through clothes. It's like they tape M&Ms to the gal's bra or something. Unlike what Hollywood thinks, I go to see a movie for the overall effect. Not to see softcore pornography. If I wanted to watch porn I'd do it at home, and for much cheaper. :p

And I agree with whoever mentioned the boat scene. I really expected the boats to actually be wired to their own bombs. I was waiting for the guy in the suit to blow himself up along with the rest of them. I think it would've been more befitting of the chaotic Joker we were seeing.

I like boobies...

Two Face:  Dumb idea, overcooked IMHO.

What was dumb? The plot? Aaron Echkart? The CGI? Or are you just not a fan of Two-Face.

Also what was with the Scarecrow?! The mask looked wrong and why was he wearing it if he didn't use the 'gas' or whatever, then also how was the Scarecrow relevant?! Just showed up and never mentioned again.

The mask looked wrong? He wears the mask because he is a nutter, not only for use with the gas. But he did use the gas, it was quick, but he did use it.

How was Scarecrow relevant and not shown again? Well he is a villain in the Batman universe. He was in the last film and wasn't caught. He was caught at the beginning of this film, hence not shown again....

I finally got to see this movie last night, after all these weeks. Strange thing is, I watched it in Korea, but it was in english, just with Korean subtitles.

I thought the movie was way better then the dark night, or any other batman movies for that matter. It didn't seem like it was a long film, maybe because I was so into the film. Everyone needs to see this movie

THE JOKER, the clue is in the name, he is should be more humorous.

Not according to the original version of the character at all! The first joker, before DC ha to pull him from the comics due to a government ruling about voilence in "childrens comics" was a psychopath who killed for his own amusement. Onle the later comics and the campy series made him the "Clown Prince of Crime" persona.

Wait, was it the Dark Knight? :p

Joker has no origin. No one knows about his past.

Definately not as good as the hype made it out to be, Bales voice made me laugh the first time i heared it, i think Aaron Eckhart was a bad choice to be Two Face even though his cgi face scared the crap out of me his acting didnt really match up to the character well, i think the movie would have been better if it was just the Joker.

As for the Joker wow i was blown away he was really creepy and all the nervous/crazy ticks he had like smacking his lips and sticking his tongue out were fantastic, the film should have been about him and nothing more i could have sat there and watched him for hours and hours.

They missed a lot of opportunities in this film which have already been said in this thread so i wont go over them again, was a bit too long but i never got bored like i do with most films as they get near the end, just a shame Heath Ledger passed away i would have loved to have seen him come back as the Joker in the third film.

Dont know why people are giving it 9 and 10 out of 10 on IMDB, its a solid 8/10 for me.

    • A difficult position to be in. Either they cater to us users or they cater to news curators to potentially increase traffic. Personally, I wasn't being sarcastic. Hosting a website isn't free, so without traffic this site stops existing, and if you want traffic you have to play the game. I legitimately thought the title was good. Not because I like it, but because it's the kind of title people will click on. This site needs that.
