Lost - Season 5

It's definitely the same eye. The skin tone and texture is almost a perfect match.

Looks like they definitely just altered the original eye....it would be extremely unlikely the eye lashes would group together in the *exact* same way in two different shots, let alone if it was two different people.

The Sawyer/Jack FIGHT was nuts!!!

I wonder either of them was doing it because of Kate?

Evangeline Lilly has such a tight little body.

Evangelline Lilly is voted THE HOTTEST TV actress (If I remember the poll someone made here correct)!

This Finale had Everything - From guns blazing, to bare hands brawls to Explosions! Then, Mind-Blowing plot!!

It's certainly of the BEST Finales I've ever seen!!! :D :woot:

but why did fakelocke need richard to guide him to jacob? if fakelocke was the same guy as the one from the intro why didn't he know jacob resides in the foot of the statue himself?

Fakelocke was looking for a way to kill Jacob, but couldn't do it directly because of the laws of timetravel as Faraday described them. He needed to use 'variables' to do it, and variables are governed by free will.

Fakelocke was acting in such a way as to get the people around him, including Richard and Ben, to act of their own free-will in killing Jacob. This is the 'loophole'.

That's why Jacob told Ben he had a choice.

Quick theory on who the others are that has probs been discussed.

At the start we see a boat, Not the blackrock, Jacob and [insert name] are talking, [insert name] says "You bought them here to prove me wrong" Jacob replies with "You are wrong"

This means the boat is full of Jacobs "Experiment" to proof [insert name] wrong, This means jacob gives them orders on how to survive, via richard, a high ranking "leader" and a leader, Ellie, Widmore, Ben and locke are so far the 4 leaders we know.

k ?

As for the "Loophole"

[insert name] = Smokey, Smokey to our knowledge has been the cause of getting to this point, Mind-screwing Eko and making Locke go searching, There for to leave the island eventually and come back as a dead corpse that Smokey ([insert name]) can use in the same way it/he uses/used Christians' body. Smokey has kicked the arse of everyone who has not previously had contact with Jacob, With the exception of Locke who was dead when Jacob touched him.

Yes, he has manipulated everyone on the island since the start so as to lead Ben to the point of killing Jacob out of freewill. That's the loophole.

Also, Jacob went round insuring everyone instrumental to the detonation of the bomb went back to the island. This is Jacobs defense, because the bomb will undo all of Fakelockes efforts.

People changing sides doesn't sound like a loophole at all. Reincarnation/reanimation, however, could be the loophole, but we're not 100% clear on what the loop hole is and how it works, but what you're describing doesn't make sense. The variables are the people in 1977, not 2007, so that really doesn't add up.

My theory:

The bomb is what set off The Incident and the theory of whatever happens, happened still holds. It would be too large of a paradox if the bomb changes everything, it simply wouldn't make sense and would ruin the story.

I believe the resurrected Locke is the monster, just like the monster has taken the shape of Yemi, Alex and others. That's why the monster told Ben to do whatever Locke says.

Why is it not the black rock? Looks like it to me.

I think Richard was travelling on this Ship. Though that's a long shot.

I agree with Mathachew, the loophole of it being freewill would have been exploited a lot easier/sooner by Esau, I believe it had to specifically be Ben, due to whatever happened in the temple when Ben was dying as a kid. This ties in with the fact Jacob would not let Ben see him, as he would be the only one who could kill him which would be too mush of a risk.

EDIT: Statue definitely looks more like Sobek. There's no belly?!

    • I think every American should have a course in a 'dry sense of humour' at school; and perhaps 'using sarcasm in jest' oh, and also 'the use or irony in humour'. Slapstick is just about all Americans can understand. It's a pity, as this is the most basic of humour, that requires no thought at all. It's hilarious to watch a whole room collapse with laughter while yanks sit scratching their heads...
    • What they really need to do is automatically spell "loses" and "lose" correctly since nobody seems to know how to anymore. Then they blame spellcheck/autocomplete and don't realize autocomplete is just filling in the word for them automatically so it was misspelled in the first place.
    • If someone chooses to continue using SB and therefore goes through the manual intervention in the thread, afterwards the BSOD problem is gone. Whether they then re-enable the task doesn't matter, they're done, though on such machines it might pay to keep it disabled in case the next update (if there is a next) causes the same problem. OTOH, if someone disables SB in the BIOS, the problem is also gone. Incidentally, I noticed that this task exists even on machines that don't support SB. It's just installed across the board...and runs. Doing what on such machines is a little hazy.
