Oh and it started off so well!

I like it, it's not what I'd use day in day out as I have various extensions in Firefox 3 that cannot be replaced for ease of use and simplicity (BBCode extension, FireFTP, AdBlock etc).

Be good to see it develop into something profound though.

Wow, it's so fast! Much faster than FF3 and Safari, but slower than Opera. Performs amazing, three tabs open, yet only 16MB of RAM and 21MB virtual memory. I don't think any browser can compare with the memory performance.

16 mb ram? all the processes combined?

Super fast for me, even on Neowin which I was having problems with earlier. Having no smooth scolling though is really upsetting just simply because I'm so accustomed to it.

It's great that it's so minimal but I'm truly disliking the blue. It's a silly complaint I'm sure, but with other things I use it just stands out like a freakin sore thumb and makes it very noticeable that I'm playing on the internet.

I also can't find a way to clean my history out when I close the browser...while I haven't tested it to see if it's automatic, it IS very important for me since I'm browsing at work most of the time. Well okay, I take that back, I did just find how to clear it when I want to..but not automatically upon shutting the program down.

incognito mode.

The loading time on gmail is amazing. It's faster than firefox 3.1. I kinda expected that though. I can only scroll down with my touchpad, not up. That's a pretty annoying bug.

Finally got sunspider running....or not.

Man, it's unbelievable that people are bitching about a "BETA" product. That is the biggest reason I hate writing software - the ******* clients.

It's running really nicely for me in a VM on Vista.

I was going to say. This is public release number 1 - it's pretty damn impressive in that context quite frankly!

i'm hoping an adblock plugin will be released soon, then this thing will be gold.

You mean you think Google, who advertise heavily on the net with AdWords will release an ad-blocker? Hah...

    • Salesforce to acquire Fin, formerly Intercom, for over $3 billion by David Uzondu Image via DepositPhotos.com Salesforce today announced that it has reached an agreement with customer support software company Fin to buy the company for around $3.6 billion. Salesforce expects the transaction to close in the fourth quarter of its fiscal year 2027, and the acquisition will not change its financial guidance previously announced on May 27. Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce, in its press release, claimed that acquiring the startup gives Salesforce an immediate AI agent that resolves support tickets across email, WhatsApp, SMS, and Slack: You might know Fin by its former name, Intercom. If you have ever been on a website or inside a mobile app and noticed a little chat bubble widget floating in the bottom right corner of your screen, often featuring a friendly face and a message like, "Hi! How can we help you today?" you were almost certainly looking at Intercom. Intercom became Fin just last month, transforming itself into an "AI-first" platform that handles customer issues with little need for humans to intervene. The new name originates from the company's highly successful AI customer service agent, which it launched way back in 2023. This digital assistant supposedly resolves about 76% of customer service volume end-to-end on its own, so the business rebranded to match its primary software tool. Fin's new owners, Salesforce, went on an acquisition spree over the last few years, and some of them you might recognize, like its 2020 $27.7 Billion acquisition of Slack. The last few months saw the enterprise giant buy several startups, including m3ter, Momentum, Cimulate, and Contentful. Salesforce said that when the Fin deal pulls through, customers will "deploy AI agents across" various service operations, which will complement Agentforce, the platform that enables businesses to deploy customizable autonomous digital workers.
