Great work Jordan I'd love to try this but don't know anybody that would let me shot them.

For some ideas check out this guy on youtube he has some great videos

ahh just ask around for anyone lol, someone is always better than no one, right?!

@Jordan you make it look so easy :D

haha thank you, i take that as a compliment right lol. :)

Very impressive photos spacey. Do you have any tips for a beginner like me? I mostly shoot in Av mode because it auto-adjusts the shutter speed to maintain optimum exposure. I sometimes switch to Tv mode when I want to control the shutter speed for high speed/low speed shots.

I'm scared to touch manual because I suck at changing the settings to get the right exposure. Most of the time my shots either come out too dark or just right but very blurry. :(

i havent posted any pics yet cos i aint had the time to do any of the editing on them but i would like some feedback on my kit as to how good it is and what i should buy to make it easier/better

canon eos 350d

18-55 canon lens (came with camera)

sigma 70-300 lens

polarizing filter

canon speedlight 540ez (still dont know how to work it properly)

4gb CF card

usb card reader

then just a nice big bag for it all

MBP 2.4 C2D, 4gb ram, 160gb hdd, 15" screen

imac alu 2.4 C2D, 4gb ram, 320gb hdd, 20" screen

aperture and photoshop (not that i know how to use PS at all lol)

i tend to shoot RAW, i was thinking about getting a eos 40d if i can find the fundage for it

thanx guys and gals

adam

One Stop Digital

Shipped from Hong Kong to UK.

Price: ?293.

Some of the prices they have are really sharp and tempting. How is the packaging and shipping? Handled with care? Having a delicate lens worth a lot getting shipped from the other side of the world sounds a bit risky to me. o_O

I cannot fault the company at all, the service, packaging and prices.

Packaging was top notch, the box came 100%, no dents, no damage it was perfect - see below.

As for the packaging this is how it was packaged.

Lens Box -> Bubble Wrap -> Green Wrapping Paper -> Bubble Wrapped Fed Ex Jiffy.

I am going to be using this company again and again and again for sure! I will recommend them to anyone! 4 Days form Hong Kong is very good, especially when I ordered this Lens from www.purelygadgets.com and the order was still being processed after 5 days of me placing my order!

Yeah, I shoot Aperature most of the time as well -- nothing wrong with that. I only shoot manual when I use flash actually.

I tried to comment on a few of your posted photos. They all seemed to be processed the same though and probably taken around the same time so maybe once there is more variety I can say something more constructive, also I can't see your EXIF info.

shaddsi, first shot is funny. i like it.

scazza, nice lens! can't wait to see the pics. the 11-17 tokina was pretty sweet and tempting.

jordon, nice shot. i like how the background goes with her clothes. looks like u have something on your lens or sensor though in the top right :p

    • too bad the "backend" June 2026 ESD files are still at build 26200.8653 and not at the correct build 26200.8655 release. I'll avoid using the MCT for several weeks until late July 2026
    • Qualcomm's new Snapdragon Reality Elite chip brings on-device AI to Android XR devices by Pradeep Viswanathan Qualcomm has been delivering dedicated SoCs for mixed reality and spatial computing devices for several years. The journey started with the Snapdragon XR1, followed by the Snapdragon XR2 in 2019, the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 in September 2023, and finally the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 in 2024. Today, Qualcomm announced a major upgrade with the new Snapdragon Reality Elite Platform, which targets premium mixed reality and spatial computing devices. OEMs can use this SoC to power both all-in-one video-see-through headsets and lightweight, tethered optical-see-through glasses. Qualcomm highlighted that the Snapdragon Reality Elite will power the next wave of Android XR devices coming later this year. These wearables will offer better visuals, improved power efficiency, and deeper on-device AI integration compared to the previous generation. The Snapdragon Reality Elite can deliver up to 48 TOPS of AI performance, allowing large language models and large vision models to run directly on the device for the first time. In addition to enabling new spatial AI experiences, these new AI capabilities will improve head and hand tracking, as well as see-through features. On the performance side, the Snapdragon Reality Elite offers up to 60% higher GPU performance, up to 30% higher CPU performance, and up to 160% higher NPU performance compared to the previous generation. The platform supports visuals of up to 4.4K per eye at 90 frames per second for sharper images and smoother motion. Qualcomm is also claiming significant efficiency improvements. The Snapdragon Reality Elite can offer up to 20% longer battery life under the same workload. More importantly, the chipset can run up to 12 degrees Celsius cooler under load, making headsets more comfortable for users to wear for longer periods. The platform also includes improvements to video see-through, featuring lower latency and better image quality. Qualcomm states that its EVA hardware block helps accelerate demanding computer vision workloads, improving how digital content blends with the real world.
    • Umm... GitHub continues to use AWS. That's the story, that's the headline. There's no "new" news here. GitHub continues to require additional capacity beyond the originally-planned Azure allocations. There's nothing special about this; nothing noteworthy. They're still using AWS' infra until the cutover is complete.

    • Hello, I have used a few TEAM Group SSDs, USB flash drives, and Micro SDXC cards in the past. They all seemed to work fine. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
