OK, this ref Chris Lee is a nutjob. He called some stupid penalties against the Wild, then made up for it by calling twice as many against the Canadiens. They just spent about 15 minutes of the second period short-handed.

that was the worst hab game of the year so far. game had no flow at all...

I hate watching road games. Most of the other cities look like the crowd is attending a poetry reading. I've seen people texting in the front row, people having a conversation and totally missing spectacular crashes into the glass, etc. I've even seen row upon row of empty seats. That's just wrong. Road games feel like the crowd is dead.

Anyone see the hilites from the Canucks vs Ducks game last night? Might have been one of the craziest regular season games I've ever seen!

6-6 Ducks tie it up with 25 or so seconds left, then goes to 13th round in the shootout and Ohlund finally scores :p

Oh crap. Leafs vs Rangers....

I checked at the end of the 2nd and it was 0-2. I check at the last 30s it's 5-2. What happened? lol...

yeah the Leafs game was quite a comeback. 5 goals scored in the 3rd period.

Ha, Campoli scored twice in overtime. The replay was funny anyway.

The puck went in and out of the net so quickly that play was allowed to proceed. Players on both teams eased up, and Campoli, who momentarily raised his arms in celebration, got the puck again. He fired another shot into the goal to thrill the crowd of 10,184 in Nassau Coliseum.

That was hilarious! I couldn't believe the net had a hole in it.

I remember when I played rep hockey we scored through the netting in their net and the ref called it no goal. Then they checked it afterwards and called it a goal :p

Anyways, pretty funny lol

We're tied with SJ for most goals for lol

But yes, very unpredictable. Gillis looks like an idiot now for sending Wellwood to the minors. I've liked him since he got here, he's under a mil and has ridiculously soft hands.

Luongo was absolutely amazing last night. I think that was the best goaltending performance I've seen in a really long time. There was a time period in the game where I think he made 2-3 sensational saves in a row.

He was a living highlight reel last night. I think the way they are playing right now may be enough to convince Sundin to head over here for half the season :D

Habs were full of fail yesterday. How can you allow Leafs to bully Price like that, how much was it, 4 interferences?

Yeah Grabovski shouldn't have butt ended him and Blake went too hard into the net, but these things pail in comparison to the dirty check from Kostopoulos and an even worse hit from Kostitsyn had Schenn been injured.

    • I think the car analogy is more this: Left hand drive, basic commands on the left side of the infotainment screen. Right hand drive, basic commands on the right side of the infotainment screen. Granted, you're not swapping between the two often so it's doesn't really work. But it's to do with the proximity of you (your mouse, or the driver) to the controls.
    • I mean, the old one was broken and so stupidly complex for many users, so I don't see that as a feasible option. A context menu needs to be simple to use, and for me the Windows 11 style actually worked really well for me, and many others. I used to have to scroll the damn context menu just to get to "file properties" in Windows 10. That was not a good experience, and I'm sure you'd agree. What they're trying to do is make it the best of both worlds, as clearly you'd prefer the Win10 style. I'm curious how they're going to do this.
    • The "Show more options" has its place, as does the simpler context menu, but it should perhaps be a separate fly-out rather than relaunching the entire, old context menu. The old context menu was getting absurd in Windows 10. Often I'd have to make the context menu scroll just to get to "File properties" on my old laptop. Even without much installed, the amount of items was just too much. It's a context menu, not a "do all" menu. Making it configurable is fraught with challenges too, so I'm interested to see how Microsoft tackles this one.
    • I don't hate the new menus, I am not a fan of the lack of features and how they went live when they clearly are not complete. The menu itself presents much better than the previous - but what's lacking (IMO) is: 1) Any kind of automated manipulation such as: "this goes on the new menu because you use this feature more often on this filetype" "this is rarely used and will fall back to the old menu" 2) Any kind of user manipulation such as: "a UI to add/remove/order items to the new menu"
