Animal Crossing taught me that if you bury money in the ground with a golden shovel, there's a chance a money tree will grow :o

Try that!

Pssh, didn't work when I was a kid, the only thing I got out of that was some dirty pound coins.

If a cheap deal of any kind happens to appear, like ?28 or something, I might get it, but I might just get it for Xmas anyway, I've got a ton of work to do, and haven't played a game in over a week.:

And I just bought those RealTriggers for $5 US, have not seen them any cheaper than that, but the best $5 I ever spent.

Are those like RealDolls for gamers?

Was wondering why it seemed like I was starting to catch up.

@DM I just tried to join your party, but failed :(

Oh, no idea why that was? I was playing a 60 player match and it was pretty full so maybe that's why.

Last I checked I was 5th on the score board, might have finished higher I dunno :p Pleased with myself cause I hate playing FPS with the dualshocks. I'm still holding my own against players who are probably a lot more comfortable with it than I am, so (Y).

Also, I swapped the sprint button to L1 and reload to Square. The thumb sticks on the PS3 controller are s*** for pressing down to sprint.

I know but I'm just trying to make more like games I play on the 360. COD4 & 5, Battlefield etc all use the thumb stick to sprint. And placing your fingers on R1 and L1 for firing / aim just feels so wrong :/

Think I'm happy with my setup now though (Y)

Ah Ok, I never liked sprinting by pressing the thumb sticks, especially Battle field, you get sore thumbs from that game.

I might mess about with controls at some point, as I tend to melee for some reason in MP when I am trying to shoot. But does not happen in SP, so not sure what that is.

Resistance 2 Advertising Takes Over Dublin Newspapers

Sony scares the living **** out the nice folks in Dublin. Ireland today, will full page advertisements for Resistance 2 masquerading as front page stories declaring "America Under Attack!"

Kotakuite Cyruss sends us full scans of the four-page wrap-around that lovingly embraced the actual free Dublin morning papers Metro and Herald AM. Stories range from the front-page spectacular to a scientific analysis of the Chimera and a letter from the President of the United States to the American people, urging them to band together against the Chimera threat.

This is some of the most brilliant marketing I've seen in quite some time. I can't find anywhere on the front page where it says this is a joke, so not only will it sell the game, it'll move a ton of papers, meaning more advertising revenue for the free papers. Everybody wins - except poor America, of course.

Badassery!

I'm pretty sure I have the same newspaper, well, one with more pages that came with a PSM3 issue.

LOL, wow that's absolutely awesome.

Best marketing stunt I've seen in a while :D

Even bigger LOL at the people on Kotaku

Irresponsible Advertising, meet idiots who can't pay attention and are easily frightened. Idiots who can't pay attention and are easily frightened (and like to sue), meet Irresponsible Advertising.
Considering what just happened in India...and the overall "uneasiness" of the current global climate, I just can't see the logic in "America Under Attack" in giant print in a newspaper.

Yes. Even with a giant alien on the cover.

Just played some of my first team objective based games.

Damn it's fun, a lot of back and forth, but it's cool constantly being on your toes!

Almost at level 4.

I'm getting annoyed at the amount of time it's taking for my imported Socom bundle to reach me, I really need my headset. Puts me off online gaming if I can't communicate :( Which is why I've waited so long with R2, but im a bit hooked now :p

They ruined co-op for me. My roommate and I loved R1 coop because we got to play through the SP campaign together and it was a lot of fun. The new mission-based coop seems like bull to me, and I played it for a bit and didn't enjoy it at all. I don't mind the new coop for massive online games, but for 2-player offline coop I would have loved to be able to play just the SP campaign with a friend, guess that was too hard for Insomniac.

Oh well.

Clearly due to development timescales effort was put into the 8 player co-op campaign.

To be honest, I prefer that this time around.

Co-Op in most SP games is just a tacked on buddy, and while it's fun, there's so many games offering it now, something a little bit different is good.

If you can get 3/4, or even the ideal number, 8 buddies together, you can't disagree the prospect of having all 8 of you, headsets intact playing Co-Op won't be worth a shot.

The element of having classes as well mixes it up, you're not just two identical gunning characters running through a level.

I'm dying to try it out, but without a headset it will be pretty crappy for me.

Just finished the main storyline. Tomorrow is co-op time methinks. If I'm available at the time, I'd be up for a team-based game. I have a headset. But not one of Sony's fancy new ones. Not that it matters much - mine's currently under my bed due to a lack of use.

Im up for some MP, I like this game, but every night I just dont know what to play anymore, too many games, then I end up doing nothing :(

Same here.

Plus I have coursework to do, so I feel guilty if I play any games. I still don't get around to doing any coursework though!

It's the same with me. I've still got things to do on Assassin's Creed, GTA4, Dead Space, DMC4 and Dark Sector, and I haven't even put Bioshock into my PS3 yet!

But still, I can't stop doing co-op missions.

I got 2nd in a 60 man match yesterday morning. That match went really well though - had 10 kills 1 death in the first 3 or so minutes.
