[Official] Resistance 2

Recommended Posts

Oh man.

I was generally surfing game news and read the end game spoielr by accident, oh cruel world, I didn't notice what I was reading at first.

Oh well.

Damn that's epic fail.

I read it happened to some folk on NeoGAF.

I wouldn't be as bothered about R2 as I never played R1 (although it would still be a kick in the nuts).

Some guy on here wasted MGS4 for Sethos and some others though at launch, now that would've royally caused me to rage out

Yea, I enjoyed Resistance, so I wasn't to happy about it.

And yea, I remember that, personally I would punch someone in the face if they came up and tried to spoiler a story heavy game like MGS4, I would go mad I tell you.

When i was young I lent a Snes game out, and said don't use my save I'm close to the end, but I didn't play it much, and then it came back and he had finished my go, never talked to him again, and ended up giving the game away, it just wasn't the same, I loved playing that game too.

Yeah my mate gave another one of my mates his Banjo Kazooie game and he went and completed it from his save!

He wasn't impressed.

I had something similar happen to me too. I lent Sonic 3 to a friend after completing it 100% (all the emeralds, super sonic etc). Then he gives it back to me like a month later and he let his sister play it. Not only did she wipe my 100% save, she used up all of the save slots and completely wrecked the manual. It was like it was put through a washing machine. Ever since then I don't lend games to friends unless I know they are like myself and take care of their dvds and games like I do. Which hasn't been often :p

I'm the same with lending things out. It always seems to be siblings that mess things up, too. The last time I lent games out was 2 Tenchus for PS2 (a few years back), got them back with a not-too-pleasing array of scratches on both discs. I like to keep my things pristine (always have), but people don't seem to take care of other people's things. Which is wrong. Bring back cartridges - these damn discs are too delicate!

Back on topic, is the [NWN] clan on R2 the legit one? I saw it, was going to join, but for some reason didn't. I think it had been in existence for a couple hours at most when I saw it.

PS Fingerprints on discs. 'Nuff said. :(

Pheee, are you involved with a different clan? I sent a request to Neowin's clan, then I got an invite to another clan and when I went to look at it it said the leader was you. Glitch? It's called Panda Warriors.

I joined a match with 1 guy from PND and it was me and this 1 kid vs 6 of another clan. Only lost by around 5 points on both games too.

I bought a new headset (for pc and PS3 use), so no need to worry about battery life anymore and hopefully the quality is also a lot better. My BT headset is ok, it's just a bit of a pain to sync with the PS3 and it's a little crackily.

Got quite a lot of work this week and next so doubt I'll be able to do any co-op until after that.

Not holding out for the official? :/

It's going for like ?17 and is suppose to be awesome quality.

Yeah I have no exams in January, but a I have a ****ton of work this week/next to make up for that:((

Nah, I'm really really not a fan of BT, its such a pinickity connection protocol. Much happier using this type of headset. It has the regular jacks but comes with a USB adapter as well, so I can pretty much use it for everything. It was the same price roughly as the official headset anyway.

Man I'm missing out on the multi-player fun.

I just know come Christmas none of you are going to want to go through the co-op levels again with the newb.

Couldn't be further from the truth.

The way things are right now with most folk playing DURING the Christmas holidays is the most likely scenario.

We're trying to get like 8, or up to 8 people playing at once, and with the Christmas rush, Uni work and people's jobs heating up before the break, it's probably going to be difficult before Christmas.

Not to mention everyone trying to dip their fingers in every bloody game release that just blasted out the past few month(s).

Man I'm missing out on the multi-player fun.

I wouldn't mind doing so. I personally haven't even started on co-op yet.

Waiting to play with everyone from Neowin, and I've been playing only team deathmatch so far.

I can second what AB has said Corris - there's simply so many levels to go through on each of the 3 classes within co-op that many people (including myself) will be playing way past Christmas. The levels may be the same, but 8 human people playing means it's pretty much always differences in the way the missions pan out.

I'm only on the low levels on co-op: Medic - 10, Soldier - 6, Spec Ops - 4 (IIRC). They go up to like 30 or something, so I've got a lot left to do.

    • Dead on arrival at that price. Like they missed the mark by multiple hundreds of dollars - this should actually undercut the Macbook Air at $899 if they want any sort of sales / further adoption of WoA
    • Wow, 50% increase for the base model. That's steep!
    • A group made up of dozens of cybersecurity experts, including several well-known veterans of the industry, published an open letter to the U.S. government asking it to lift the export control order on Anthropic’s Fable and Mythos models. According to the open letter, “this action has taken the best models away from [cybersecurity] defenders” who now can’t use the models to find vulnerabilities and make their software and products more secure. “To pull the best capabilities away from defenders without a good reason when our adversaries are rapidly advancing is dangerous,” read the letter. On Friday, the U.S. government ordered Anthropic to limit the export of Fable and Mythos, citing national security concerns, without explaining the specific reasons behind the order, according to Anthropic. In response, the company suspended access to the models to all users worldwide.     https://techcrunch.com/2026/06/15/cybersecurity-vets-protest-dangerous-us-government-ban-on-anthropics-most-powerful-models/
