[Official] Gears of War 2

Coming from the guy who has played Alone In The Dark, I don't think I can really take your criticisms seriously, and I'm not even much of a Gears fan myself lol. From what I've read GOW2 includes more story and answers some Q's about where the Locust came from and what not, who really wants to sideline and learn about their emotional side / love interests :/

Didn't hear any complaints when HL2 came out and they didn't divulge whose ass Freeman was tapping. Maybe you'd like a good book instead Spookie lol?

Ok.. so Futureshop has updated it;s midnight launch. Says now only Sudbury and Quebec stores won't have the midnight launch. But the other page still lists Ontario as not opening for Midnight.. any ideas?

Oh right, because I rented a game my opinion is worth squat?

Well I've completed it and all it creates is plot holes (much like Unreal and Unreal 2 coincidently). I don't give a toss about the love story. My complaint is what the **** is it doing in there? :/

Marcus & Dom go from the missing link in Darwins evolutionary theory. To whiny emo teen writing on his blog. All I'm saying is when you spend millions developing a game how hard can it be to employ a decent writer then create a coherent and interesting story? Don't get me wrong I enjoy the game, I just can't get in to it, so to speak, when it's written for chest beating, steroid taking morons.

Anyway hurry up and get the game so I can beat your faces in with my rifle. :p

My god, the gold Lancer looks like a pile of crap. I thought it was just going to be a golden tint on the black base, but it looks like someone has gone over the model with the paintbrush tool in Paint. I can't see myself using it very much (I believe it is an option as it's unlockable through natural progression as well as through the code for the LE).

I was kidding about the AITD thing, but seriously wtf lol :p

Anways, after watching GT's review, they said the story was a lot better too so I don't see what all the fuss is about and where you're coming from tbh. I can't say much about it until I play, but I'll def take you up on that offer to pwn your ass :p

.Kick said the same thing to me a few weeks ago but I've searched and can't find any mention of that anywhere. I think it's exclusive to the LE alone with the option to turn it on/off in multiplayer.

Other elements are unlocked via earning achievements in the first game though.

Just watched the video review posted above and I can't wait to play it this weekend. I am amazed that they can keep it at such a smooth framerate and have a amazing looking game. Maybe other devs need to take some notes...

Yeah now looking at this, its not worth to get LE just for that, I prefer the normal black guns, the gold looks out of place.

The rest of LE is just normal stuff I would like but never look at or watch.

Yea I was looking into getting the Le version but there is really no need for it. You get the lancer anyway by actually playing the game. I will deff. be playing this all weekend.

Please provide a source for that info.

I've searched and not read anything, so are you just going by the crap posted on forums?

This is a false claim...from epic forums:

In short Midnight Madness for Gold hammerburst and LE for Gold lancer.

Enjoy not having it.

    • Exactly. They won't go 100 because current gen consoles are simply too old for any groundbreaking graphics or gaming experience otherwise. They will go with standard (console) price 70 or go with 80 if they really want to go premium. Of course they will have more expensive options too with some useless cosmetics as always.
    • Doesn’t surprise me at all. God is light & He gave us life so it sounds almost logical that we would therefore emit a certain amount of light.
    • This is what I want. Hey Gemini, how do I remove you from all my google products permanently?
    • I would never install install this build before rtm process. only 3 months to go. never install on your daily devices. just wait 3 months.
