Welcome to Finity forums beta test

Recommended Posts

Timan has ported the Finity theme from the main news page over to the forums.

The skin isn't 100% completed, there are still a few bugs to iron out, which is why it is not the default theme yet.

To view it, please select Finity from the theme selector at the (left) bottom of the forums and report any bugs you come across here.

This theme was made for all screen sizes, like the previous "Shift" theme and it will be the last theme on Neowin that looks anything like the main page. With Invision Power Board 3 we will be creating a new theme for the site that steers away from what the main page looks like, so we have a bit more creative freedom between the 2 main sections of the site, a dedicated look for the news pages, and also for the forums.

Please enjoy, and if you don't enjoy it, you can revert back to your flavor of the Shift theme (in the forums).

Additonally, I don't like how pinned content seems to have been merged with regular threads.

Ditto, announcements and pinned threads do not stand out as they used to.

What is the best way to report problems or make suggestions? Posts in this thread or threads in S&FI?

The idea behind this is that people were actively ignoring the pinned threads because they knew they were potentially 'old' - the number of times we get threads in S&FI with the 'my topic view looks funny' question despite them being members for 5 years sometimes.

    • It saddens me when cars are such dull colours now. Mine is bright metallic blue and I absolutely adore it for standing out in contrast to that depressing backdrop of traffic.

    • lol it was a typo, fixed! haha imagine an actual 4TB Gen4 NVMe for $40 in 2026
    • Get over it, has nothing to do with my point.
    • I really don't like these rounded corners and huge borders in the viewport. They just waste space without anything in return.
