Windows 7 build 7068 Screenshot (Yes, it's real)

"7068 does have something new under-the-hood"

Probably, can't wait to get it installed. :woot:

"...and it's a lot better than Vista which was nothing but a big mistake."

I do think 7 is better than Vista. However, Vista was NOT any kind of mistake.

I've had that thing seeding for you guys/gals all day while I worked. I think thats what you call it when u have a dl finished and leave BT running for others. Maxed out my upstream for 7-8 hours. Good luck with the rest, im backin up and loading this biotch. :p

Does anybody know if this WMP bug is in the x64 build also? More WMP bugs....=\. When you press the next song button in the thumbnail, it skips two songs everytime. I'm wanting to go back to 7057....

I would assume it happens in the 64 bit version too but I can confirmed it happens to me too as does the pause button bug.

Yeah, confirmed! :s

If you pay close attention, it does pause.. for a fraction of a second, then plays.

What it seems like is using the thumbnail pause (or play button) is issuing two commands instead of just one.

fake edit: yeah, that is what is happening.

The same thing happens if you use the skip forward button.. if you're on song one, it doesn't go to song two (I'm talking about the media player default songs), it skips to song 3.

Anyone else get this message in action center in 7068? So there's a problem here, or the action center updated for the future antivirus programs?

(and when I installed this build, it tell me that I have only 3 days for activation)

Oh and the games explorer got new icon

I'm using ESET Smart Security 4.0 and I do not get that message. Have you tried upgrading to the newest version 4.0?

Change log?

Worth upgrading from 7057?

Its very much worth upgrading. Why not? Its not like you have to format. This build has fixed many of my issues and it might fix any issues you may have as well. Also, this build is much faster for me.

Exactly how I feel. Been having a few windows explorer hangs in 7057 and before that. So far, have not had any hangs on 7068, which is a good sign of how the builds continue to show improvement and reliability.

7068 isn't dropping my wireless connection randomly like 7057 did. WMP has a couple bugs from the thumbnail view buttons, but overall, I love this build. :p

Guess that explains why digsby was always disconnecting once in a while. Good to see it fixed too.

As noted earlier in this thread, there are apparently 3 leaks

<snip x86 ei.cfg confusion>

No such troubles with the x64 version, there's only the unmodified Ultimate version

The WinSat still has the same bug with Aero Graphics as in 7057, only 5.9 instead of 7.9 :pinch:

It seems they changed the gadget handling in 7068, because of my gadgets (Anime PC Meter) that worked fine in 7057 has some bugs in 7068 :(

- doesn't display properly (e.g. the outlines are shifted)

- flyouts don't work anymore

- constant cpu load of ~30% from that gadget alone, closing it stops it (see screenshot below)

    • Here is how to watch Apple's WWDC 2026 conference where iOS 27 is expected by Taras Buria It is Monday, June 8, 2026, which means today is the day Apple kicks off its annual Worldwide Developer Conference, WWDC 2026. As usual, today's keynote will be full of consumer and developer-focused announcements, including new versions of Apple's operating systems, developer tools, and more. Apple streams its developer conferences, allowing everyone to tune in and watch the announcements live. Today is no exception, so here is how you can watch it. Apple WWDC 2026 will be available to watch on Apple's official website here. Also, you can stream it on YouTube and the Apple TV app on your Apple device. The stream kicks off at 10 AM PDT / 1 PM EDT / 6 PM GMT+1. Apple's annual developer conference usually focuses on new software experiences, so do not expect major hardware announcements. What is expected is the "27" series of Apple's operating systems, including iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, visionOS, and macOS. Apple is unlikely to introduce major UI changes, but you can expect subtle tweaks to the Liquid Glass design language, particularly on Mac. One of the biggest changes Apple plans to announce today is a reworked, AI-powered Siri. The assistant will be available as a standalone app with a chatbot-like experience and Google's AI models under the hood. If you want to learn more about what is expected today at WWDC 2026, check out our dedicated article here. However, if you prefer a spoiler-free stream, tune in at 10 AM PDT / 1 PM EDT on Apple's official website, its YouTube channel, or the Apple TV app.
    • For we consumer readers, it would be helpful if you clearly stated in the headline if the article is about consumer or enterprise. Then readers will know if the article applies to them or not. 2 cents.
    • At the moment I have my main PC and a test PC on my work desk. The test PC is also not inverted so I am not looking at the glass panel side, which is irritating.
    • I'm glad you posted this clarification of the cause of so-called Windows 11 update problems that too often appear in the article headlines.. In the future, it would be better to readers if you took your time, did the analysis before posting an article about Windows problems, which end up being a waste of time. Just saying.
    • Nah. They'll milk the current generation in terms of design - controllers, consoles, but no meaningful hardware improvements. This is one reason why people aren't buying Xbox hardware - it's stagnant.
