You don't know what you are talking about.

Also people please keep in mind there is a few leaks of 7068 and all versions are modified, not the original. MD5 is not even close to the untouched version.

ALLSKU, Pro etc, all modified so be careful.

I'm telling 100% the truth, there is no untouched 7068 leak out in the wild, they have all been modified.

well, did clean install of lates build. Very smooth, so far no problems except the wmp thing.

Did a better job with the drivers also, build 7057 couldn't fix the aero problem on its own and I had to manually install a driver, this build did everything on it's own, excellent work.

The reason some of the isos have been modified is to give the owner a choice of which operating system to install, instead of defaulting to PRO. Also i see the MD5 of the "Modified" x64, where's the original to compare?

They modify ei.cfg, that doesn't mean they haven't chucked something else in.

Modify ei.cfg, or delete it, can't cause anything to the OS. Many people removed this from 7000 iso to unlock Home basic, Home premium, Business, or Ultimate installation.

This is the default ei.cfg content of a Ultimate iso:

Yes, but unless you have a list of checksums from the original ISO and the modified one to compare, you have no way of knowing if ei.cfg is the only thing they've changed. This is a general problem with pirating something as important as an operating system.

I'm aware of this, that's why i didn't mention anything else being chucked in. However in your above post it looks like you're hinting that something was added in.

I'm just giving you guys a warning, it's better for untouched then modified as only the creator knows what is added or removed from the builds and also it's an operating system we are referring too, in my experience i like to know whats on my system and where files goto.

finally got around to putting 7068 two of my comps (x86 on my laptop and x64 on my desktop). Haven't noticed anything really significant over 7057. May run a little smoother, a few minor tweaks. Seems to be another great build!

I did notice on my laptop that both 7057 and 7068 there is a slight bug with the volume control. cick on the icon in the taskbar and you have to be really quick to adjust the volume, because it disappears!

My network and internet connection seems to be a lot more stable on this build compared to 7057, which is great because it was getting to be a huge pain in the ***!

LOL and who are you that you know "the truth" ? I mean get over your self (or stop listening to that idiot wzor)... only version that was modifyed was AllSKU version and it was modfyed by me, because 95% dont have any use of untuched pro version.

original filename of pro is 7068.0.090321-1322_x86fre_client_en-us_Retail_ Professional-GRC1CPRFRER_EN_DVD.iso

you see that PR stands for.... yes you guessed professional, while Ultimate have GRC1CULFRER_EN_DVD, its same with actual disc name in the iso.

ATM i know about, untouched x86 professional (out of the cage 1st on private forums), x64 ultimate (2nd on private forums) and x86 ultimate (3rd on russian tracker).

Also you can make AllSKU version from ANY build. Just erase ei.cfg in sources and you will get a choice during instalation what SKU you want to install.

Those are from inside Windows 7 winsat files.

Just finished installing 7068. Seems faster and stable, and no more signs of some of the bugs and instability of 7057!

Only bug I have noticed so far is that nothing is showing up when I click "All Programs" on the Start Menu. Has anybody else got this error? Or is it just a product of upgrading from 7057 to 7068? (Oh, and please don't come and tell me not to upgrade. I know I shouldn't and bugs can result from it, but I just wanted to test it. ;))

I have the same problem, upgrading from 7057 to 7068 64-bit.

There is nothing at all in the "All Programs" on the Start Menu.

How did you fix it?

Is 7070 likely to be the RC build?

What does a Windows 7 build number have to do with the fact that 32 bit is pretty much pointless and useless at this point?

I don't think 32 bit is pointless and useless. Considering some people have older hardware and then there are netbooks. 32 bit does have its uses. Personally I have a Sony Vaio AR350G laptop and I have aero in the 32 bit but not in the 64 bit. So I am sticking with 32 bit until I purchase my next laptop at the end of the year with Windows 7 already on it.

Never had that on any builds I've used.
