I'd like to see the ability to doubleclick or something to open up Gmail or some other app. For example I use Google Chrome to turn Gmail into an icon on the taskbar and that is far more convenient to use than the notifier at this point because opening Gmail doesn't take much time and I don't need to constantly check e-mail anyway.

awesome app.. but for some odd reason it doesn't show the tasks when i right click, nor the unread emails on right click.. post-295134-1243770415.png

also any chance of making this work with Firefox Prism/ Google Gears

also cool idea to have a notifier for new mail? just an idea ;)

thx

The way I fixed that issue was I closed it, then unpinned it and then repinned it to the taskbar.

@OP

Nice application, it has a lot of potential. Thanks for the hard work!

Thanks :) I'd love to find out what's causing this.

Also, I've been working on multiple account support but I realized it's not gonna be easy to get it right... Especially the overlays and jump list items.

no probs ;) also if you want it translated.. i can do dutch translations ;)

hey thx for that.. but didn't work ..

I second the request for Google Apps support for users that have domain hosted email with Google.

On a related note I wished Google did better with its support for a unified Google Account, similar to how Windows Live does it. When I sign in with my Google Apps account it should know what to do for the service i sign into.

Yeah, I've never figured out why if I sign in to mail.google.com it doesn't just forward me to mail.google.com/a/mydomain ??!

Also.. it seems to show alerts (AND MESSAGES!) for google apps emails but won't forward to the inbox, compose etc... so should be a pretty easy fix?

Great app daty2k1!

I just saw this, you could fix the login name shown right here:

"Yeah m8 but just enter your address without @gmail.com!"

I know, but the ideal would be to work with or without the @gmail.com (: Anyway, it's just a small detail.

Yeah, this should be fixed, especially if you're using a custom domain for Gmail (@yourworkplaceemail.com instead of @gmail.com).

Otherwise, great app. (Y)

How easy would it be to do a similar application for other mail services such as Windows Live Mail, or for IMAP/POP3 accounts?

Great stuff! Good work, Definitely.

One request/comment from me, I think it was echoed somewhere in the thread -

Even though it has no real window, The application appears during window switching (alt-tab etc).

Somewhat uncomfortable, But probably inevitable?

    • This Gigabyte AMD RX 9070 XT is very good deal despite the launch of 9070 GRE by Sayan Sen Recently we reviewed AMD's latest 1440p gaming card, the Radeon RX 9070 GRE 12GB, for $549. The card is in stock too at that price, though if you want significantly better performance and don't mind spending a bit more, the Gigabyte Gaming model of RX 9070 XT is currently on sale for just $650 (purchase link under the specs table down below). The card employs Gigabyte's WINDFORCE cooling system which combines multiple design elements such as alternate-spinning Hawk fans, a vapor chamber, and composite heat pipes to manage heat dissipation. The Server-grade Thermal conductive gel further helps in this department. The inclusion of a semi-passive cooling mode allows the fans to remain inactive under low workloads, which allows for reduced noise operation during lighter usage. There is dual BIOS switch that allows toggling between performance and silent modes. The technical specifications of the Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT GAMING OC 16G are given in the table below: Specification Value Core Clock Boost Clock: up to 3060 MHz Game Clock: up to 2520 MHz Stream Processors 4096 Memory Clock 20 Gbps Memory Size 16GB Memory Type GDDR6 Memory Bus 256-bit Card Bus Interface PCI Express 5.0 Maximum Resolution 7680 × 4320 Multi-View Support 4 displays Card Dimensions L=288 mm, W=132 mm, H=56 mm Recommended Power Supply 750W Power Connectors 3 × 8-pin Video Outputs 2 × DisplayPort 2.1a 2 × HDMI 2.1b Get it at the link below: GIGABYTE Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC 16GB Graphics Card, GV-R9070XTGAMING OC: $649.99 (Sold and Shipped by Amazon US) (Was: $740) This Amazon deal is US-specific and not available in other regions unless specified. • Why does this kind of tactic not surprise me?
    • They used AI based TOOLS to convert the JavaScript engine (the main rendering engine is still C++) and it was not fully automated but was human reviewed. Other subsystems will be looked into to also be converted to Rust in the future. I have no problem with any of that.
    • Why not just bring back Outlook Express at this point? It did everything I needed as a home email app.
    • No we just do it manually, our contact methods are calls, chats and e-mails. Whoever is doing the e-mail task for the day, deals with the e-mail, logs the appropriate ticket, adds the reference to the source e-mail and then files it in the appropriate folder. At least that's how it's supposed to work
