Any word on being to do a full 24h Le Mans race with proper Day / Night cycle? ( Not that it will hold the same atmosphere or excitement of Le Mans with only 8 cars on the track :( )

+1 This. Looks stunning but really 8 cars? :( Unless they have some kind of 'catch up' mechanism in game the length of that track could mean you don't see a car all race.

Any word on what other tracks we'll get?

Interesting part

Microsoft invited the top nine Forza players in the world to race against one another in a virtual endurance race to mirror the 24-hour Le Mans race in France.

Irnoic thouhg since from news I've read so far.. Forza 3 doesn't have day/night cycles.. so they were probably driving day only for 24 hours. That's not really realistic. I wish that the news are false as there was no official confirmation from Turn10 but I'm not holding my hopes up.

They just raced for 24h, the mode itself doesn't exist, so yeah no day/night cycle. Some may say it should have a 24h Le Mans mode but honestly only a few would actually do it. Look at those guys, they were struggling just after 12h of play (including the 15m breaks)

When races usually take at most 30m to complete, a day/night cycle doesn't make a lot of sense IMO. Real time weather change on the other hand, that's something I think should be there.

I don't see how that's such a negative thing...

Of course it's negative. Race grids these days whether you look at Touring Cars, Formula 1, A1 or any other form of motor racing out there have around 16 - 20 cars on the track.

We had racers back on PS1 with 8 cars on the track.

I see it as a negative thing because 8 cars really isnt enough to get a Realistic Racing Experience. 7 other cars on the track other than you aint exactly an action packed grid.

I aint been a FanBoy or anything, but alot of people saying GT5 has alot to live up to now that Forza3 has been shown ect........ well GT5 has one thing that Forza 3 doesn't have and thats more than 8 cars on the track at one time.

Realistic racing experiences can't be realistic with just seven other cars on the whole track.

Agreed.

Huh... doesn't bother me at all.

Of course a racing experience can be realistic with just seven other cars. It's not always about cloning real world situations, such as the number of cars racing at once.

I really hope Forza3 is more fun than Forza2. I cant stand Forza2. Im more of a PGR4 person so i hope its more like that.

F2 was just stagnant or something and it felt like I was driving a toy car.

Realistic racing experiences can't be realistic with just seven other cars on the whole track.

Really... because how often will you see the other cars.

As the T10 guys said, in computer games, it's really about first place. people NEVER go for second, when you see you get second you restart.

So Effectively, even with 8 cars, you will usually only ever see 4, and 3 of them mostly in your rear view mirror as you keep them behind and try to get ahead of the one in front.

So more cars would only act as obstacles in long endurance races, and since noone plays more than 45 minute races and few even that, that would mean that the cars would have to be artificially slow to even be that.

basically, more than 8 or 10 makes little sense.
