DrunknMunky Veteran Posted June 8, 2009 Veteran Share Posted June 8, 2009 10:43 am Now demoing Exchange support. Showing how simple it is to add an Exchange account. Auto-discovery of Exchange servers, all email/folders/to-do lists are automatically populated, Spotlight immediately searches all data. Quicklook lets you preview MS Office documents through Mail, even if Office isn't installed.10:41 am Next, Exchange. Many people have a Mac at home that they want to take to work, but Exchange support has been missing. Mail, iCal, and Address Book now all support Exchange. Nifty  Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/779926-wwdc-09/page/14/#findComment-591106618 Share on other sites

Malisk
From the @arswwdc twitter feed: A PR was just sent out from Apple that says Snow Leopard will be available in September for $29. Not yet discussed in the keynote. Nice price. :D Yes, yes, they get that back from hw sales, but that doesn't make the price worse. ;) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/779926-wwdc-09/page/14/#findComment-591106642 Share on other sites

majortom1981
For bashing microsoft a lot they did a whole section on features that work with a microsft product. Whay about coming up with a way for windows server 2008 to manage fully apple workstations? Also will snow leopard work on powerpc based macs? DrunknMunky Veteran Posted June 8, 2009 Veteran Share Posted June 8, 2009 Snow Leopard will be available for all Intel Macs -- past and present. How should it be priced? Leopard was $129 and they want all Leopard users to upgrade to Snow Leopard. Snow Leopard will be $29 for those users. HUGE cheer Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/779926-wwdc-09/page/14/#findComment-591106656 Share on other sites

PNWDweller
Just got this snag from Macrumors live coverage.... will be nice if this is the case and I hope it wasn't mistyped: 10:47 am Family Pack available for $49. Will be released in September. A near-final developer preview available today. 10:46 am Snow Leopard will be available for all Intel Macs -- past and present. How should it be priced? Leopard was $129 and they want all Leopard users to upgrade to Snow Leopard. Snow Leopard will be $29 for those users. That will make it affordable to say the least concerning an upgrade. Malisk
SL for 29 bucks ftw ;) LOL, I was pondering whether to upgrade to it before given it's not a major upgrade feature-wise, and rather more performance wise, but it's not as much of a doubt now. Haha. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/779926-wwdc-09/page/14/#findComment-591106692 Share on other sites
