Can anyone plz confirm the key that i got for windows 7 ultimate just now from technet will work for the later releaded version of windows 7 ultimate on 22rd october

Yes it will but why wait till oct 22? IF you paid for technet download it and activate it now.

SO I assume most people on here paid 250-500 dollars for a technet account, just to download windows 7 two months early? MS must be raking in the kiz-ash, eh? Or is there some other hidden benefit with technet.

so these match whats on technet now?

Someone posted the SHA and CRC codes for the ones on technet. It matches what you posted.

Thank you!

Does each ISO still contain every version like Vista? I'm seeing a separate download for each version and x86/x64.

I think they are doing that for the individual keys, but it looks like the Home Premium, Professional, and Ultimate are the exact same size, so I would say you just need to download one image. Enterprise is a different animal altogether.

SO I assume most people on here paid 250-500 dollars for a technet account, just to download windows 7 two months early? MS must be raking in the kiz-ash, eh? Or is there some other hidden benefit with technet.

The other benefit is that you have access to ALL Microsoft's software although you're only allowed to use it for testing purposes. MSDN gives you the same thing but you can use the software for development as well as testing.

They're always going to be running in the Kiz-ashes regardless of anything when it comes to windows release.

    • Absolutely NOBODY has suggested such a conclusion. I am affirming the sober reality check that AV2's overall market adoption will take longer than AV1's adoption rate -- which, by the way, is the whole point of the article! While PCI-SIG is productive (on paper), other WGs have created all sorts of confusing progress plans that consumers have tuned-out of their improvements... HTML/W3C, USB, HDMI, BT, WIFI (ieee802.11) as a few other groups where spec naming conventions, split progress paths, overlapping ambitions... I'm not critiquing the AV specs group; I'm simply affirming that adoption for AV2 faces headwinds beyond the macroeconomics of it all.

    • No thanks! WebView trash is unacceptable. I only use software that's native.
