^ Not quite, if Rooney wasn't at the club, then someone else would be playing up front - Berba hasn't played a lot this season due to the usage of 4-5-1 with only Rooney as a striker so of course he'll score more :p

As for tonights game, we didn't play well at all and I have no clue why Fergie took Carrick / Park off, especially when bringing Berba on. Bayern were looking dangerous so losing Park (for no reason that I know of) wasn't the smartest move. Valencia will track back but only on the wing and we all know Berba doesn't so that basically gave Bayern the midfield.

Bayern did really well and deserved a win although i'm a big fan of MU.They weren't themself on defense.Flet and Nani played so bad on that match.Miracle at OT?Hope so

That ag could come in real handy.. but missing Shrek could turn out to be a real real problem.. I just hope he's back for the WC..

I wish we had RvP fit all season.. unsure.gif

The acid test for us tonight..

i know og is own goal.. but how can own goal get injured?

are you referring to michael owen? has he ever even scored an own goal???

weird..

It was a joke.

And to all United fans feeling a bit down in the dumps... Remember the last time we lost 2-1 in the opening leg of a Champions League quarter-final?

Late boost for us..

Cesc Fabregas and William Gallas have been named in the Arsenal team to face Barcelona.

The Arsenal captain was given a 40 per cent chance of playing after picking up a leg injury at Birmingham on Saturday. But he will start against his former club provided he feels no ill-effects during the warm-up.

Gallas has not played since the 1-0 win over Liverpool in February, missing eight games with a calf injury. He returns to partner Thomas Vermaelenat the heart of Arsenal's defence.

Abou Diaby, Samir Nasri and Andrey Arshavin have all shrugged off minor knocks to take their place in the side. Theo Walcott, Denilson, Sol Campbell and Tomas Rosicky all drop to the bench.

Meanwhile, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has been named on the bench for Barcelona.

Arsenal team: Almunia, Sagna, Gallas, Vermaelen, Clichy, Song, Fabregas, Diaby, Nasri, Arshavin, Bendtner. Subs: Fabianski, Rosicky, Eduardo, Walcott, Denilson, Eboue, Campbell.

That's a pretty solid looking lineup.. just wish we had someone else in the goal.. also I'd start Eduardo in place of Bendtner but his height can cause problems for short (Puyol) and inexperienced Barca defence..

'Cmon you Gooners!!

so still want to diss almunia? he is keeping you in this...this tie should be over by now because Arsenal is absent and a joke so far

well that's arshavin finished for the night
