A 5 year old Pizza, is it still okay?

Recommended Posts

I can relate, in the aussie miltary , at least when i was in there 20 years ago, everything seemed like it was from WWII. Nothing as dire as dairy spread in a tube that is so yellow it burns your eyes, stuff was definitely chemically coloured. Then there was the biscuits with the consistency of concrete.

The only edible thing ever found were the tubes of sweetened condensed milk, were were ###### for that stuff, there was almost a blackmarket for it.

We would come back from the field and unload our garbage, which always consisted of about 40 percent of what soldiers just werent prepared to eat in any situation from their ration packs. Did an exercise or two with the americans and you had bugger all chance of swapping anything in your ration pack for even the lowliest item in theirs!

Please never mention ration pack chocolate circa 1980's, my bowels still have distinct memories of that stuff

Great post! (Y)

MY PIZZA DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A YEAR, IT'S THEREFORE FROM YEAR 1!

not really, 3 weeks out of date...

Lame!

Leave it in your freezer for at least another year, then post here again and eat it

It's all over the news at the moment, some baby mammoth scientists found frozen

Looks like an ordinary baby elephant.

I was looking the other day for something to eat, and I found popcorn from 2003 (that is 6 years)

I read this thread long before I found this and I was reminded of this thread.

So what should I do?

Throw it away

or

beat Sethos :p

Choice is up to Neowin

The funny thing is that if for example today is 01-01-09 and a food has a "Best by" 01-01-09 date on it, I wont eat it.

Yet if I eat it, I get a 26 page thread? Sounds good :p

Will have to decide and I want Sethos input on this :p

I've had a few beers with a mate and now I'm hungry, found a 5 year old frozen pizza at the bottom of my freezer ... ( Expiry date was some time in 2004 ) Is it still good, considering it has been frozen ever since or could it still go bad? I'm really hungry :(

edible, but freezer burn from hell...

edible, but freezer burn from hell...

I did mention the fact our freezer have suffered from power-outs and certain people forgetting to close the lid?

Meaning it has been thawed a few times over the years - It tasted like old, rancid cardboard and ass ...

Though, the real question is, why the hell did this thread get bumped - It's not my proudest moment and I didn't need the 2010 reminder :p

Can't you get any fresh ass, just old and rancid one?

    • Honestly... 4 wasn't fun, 5 had unlikeable, annoying, or dull characters... Yeah, to me the magic died with San Andreas.
