Actually, if it had mini-spy built in (without going to new content) then I would use it :p

Theres only so much data we want to send over the air. I'm sure members would get really annoyed if we force updated the page everytime someone posted something on the mobile theme.

Now that we can are getting some insight into IP.Board 3.1. How difficult/easy would the next update be? Not as long as this one has taken I hope ;)

This one has taken a while as we have re-written the entire front page from the ground up, and in order to minimise disruption, we decided to launch both that and IPB3 at the same time.

Yep. I would think (and hope for sanity's sake) that building a website of this size *would* use a plugin based system. Our current codebase doesn't and it's a massive pain to change anything (and is probably responsible for most of the bugs we find, change one thing, break 10 others)

Well then I have to say I agree with you then. :p

I really can't wait for the update to the Mobile site. In the new Mobile Forums, will there be an easy way to just go to your threads (Like you can on the desktop site)? This would be a really useful feature that I've been missing from the current mobile site...

Just had a look on the mobile version of the new forums on my iPhone for you and no it doesn't seem to let you do that.

I'm pretty sure there is, I think I've seen it in the promo video Im making (albeit this part ended up on the cutting room floor). Can't immediately tell you where though - try going to your profile, see if there's a link there.

    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. What we are told is that we agree to all this when we use the devices as it is in the end user agreements, their software, they can do what they like. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.
