On my first play through I got everyone to be loyal to me, but I must not of beat the final reaper in time since Jack died; She was a b***** anyway. That damn sniper rifle is a god, love that thing.

You may have done her side quest but

if your paragon/renegade skill isnt high enough and you had to choose between her and the other, shes aint making it out alive.

Even down to one of my tiniest complaints in the first game which had to be that you had to click through all the journal/codex entries to make the menu not flash at you. In ME2 they simply put a "mark all read" and solved the problem. Attention to detail makes me smile. :D

That was actually an option in ME1 as well - on the 360, open the codex and hit X and it marks all read. I used it countless times on playthroughs after my first to stop the damn codex icon from flashing at me on the menu.

At any rate, my copy should be arriving today from the EA store. And I still need to finish my other ME1 transfer character...

Please put spoiler tags on some of that since you are discussing the end part of the game. I unfortunately read the first sentence.

metal_dragen: I wonder how I completely missed that in the first one! Doh!

He posted at 1am, it's waaaaaaaaaaay to late for editing. Never mind, Bioware gave away bigger spoilers them selfs they said in the marketing saying you can die at the end of the game. Christ it even tells you that in the IN GAME TIPS. :/

Edit: Just installed the PC version. Unimpressed. Barely any ability to change the graphical settings and the sensitivity in game is either Low, Med or High! If it wasn't for the much improved UI I'd think this is a C&P port of the 360 version. Oddly enough they increased the requirements for most achievements too, at least they recognize talent! ;D

And how about configuration utility? Graphics wise its rather sufficient imo. But as far as sensitivity go i have to agree - had to edit settings file manually.

I finished the game and loved it of course. I am already doing my second run through :)

I got all of them to be loyal except Miranda, stupid biatch lol And was quite happy, once I did the last battle, I lost everyone except 4 characters. I WAS ****ED!!!!, I assume that is because my Paragon was not high enough, and the updated skills for everyone was not good enough, time for my next run through with the game

Ha by the sounds of it I had the most success on my first playthough! :D

Crew, team members all alive bar Jack who died. Sent Legion in to the pipes, used the vanguard to defend me while walking through the swarm and asked everyone to stay back xpt me Wrex-clone & Miranda.

How did you managed to **** up so bad?! :D :D

Especially loosing, what it seems to be, almost all your backup team in the end game?

. Im just curious about other possibilities and variables. Ill probably replay it few more times, but there was just too many options near the end, that, as it seems now, led to drastically different conclusions.

And as far as paragon/renegade scores and their impact on story goes - in main story there were only two situations where they could have really made difference - loyalty of legion and jack. To bs your way out of conflict. But i have no idea how high must have those scores have been, as I had both at 2,5 bars and still couldnt select neither. But still - Legion survived, despite not being fully loyal.

Imo the only way to save Jack was to have her with you in final boss fight. Or fully loyal, thou not sure about that. And i sent my crew to go find normandy on their own, and they failed miserably. Actually I like the ship better this way now, more freedom and no more Kelly to accidentally click on :D Sent Tali through the vents and took Samara to escort me, Garrus and Mordin (thanks to his incinerate skill, usefull against armor of harbingers) and also left everyone to hold point leaving Miranda as commander of Fire team (or whatever was it called).

Basically I ran through the game, I did the main quests, and the quests to make everyone loyal, upgraded the ship and that was it. Clearly if you don't upgrade everyone's ability's and all that extra stuff, and being 100% paragon probably helps, not many people die. Miranda was one of them, I failed horribly with her, I didn't get the love story, before the end mission she was not loyal anymore and she ended up dieing. I was so mad lol

Do we really need to do spoilers now? The game is out!!

You should always spoiler. Plus, it's only legally out in the US.

I was near full renegade and had my whole team live at the end.

Was a brilliant game but kind of disappointed, felt like 30 hours of side missions recruiting and getting the crew loyal and 1-2 hours of the main story, the annoying thing is I was enjoying the game and I knew I'd get the final crew member and that would be it game over, also felt a bit cheap how they fixed the citadel up and decided to ignore the reapers, it felt like the first game only they changed sovereign to the collectors and alliance to cerberus.

    • This seems backwards. You should have to explicitly authorize files for outside use. It shouldn't be the default.
    • Wow you are right, I never even noticed this until you said it! (870E Aorus Master) Before testing this card I had a TP-Link tx401 10GbE PCIe card in that slot (now using XikeStor 310 Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter).
    • Lack of 5.1 makes this a no sale. What I really wish creative would make would be a USB version that supports 5.1 analog audio for speakers, can switch to headphone mode, and matches the specs of their top tier cards. The current X870E AMD motherboards dont have a great option for adding a PCIE x1 card without cutting down pcie lanes to the graphics card.
    • The Microsoft Office feature that time forgot by Usama Jawad I have been actively using Microsoft Word for the past couple of decades in academic, professional, and personal capacities. Although I used it through the perpetual version of Office apps at the start, I have been an active subscriber of Microsoft 365 Family subscription for over five years now. This means that my Word installation is regularly updated with new features, some of which I don't really like, but that's beside the point. As new features get continuously added, old ones that used to be a staple of Word have started to take a backseat. While I was reminiscing over my Windows experiences from my childhood today, I suddenly remember one such capability that I heavily used in my younger years but have not really touched in over a decade, and haven't seen in documents created by others either. That feature is WordArt. Just to clarify, WordArt is not a Microsoft product specific to Word, and is included in other Office apps like PowerPoint and Excel too. However, Microsoft Word is the app that I used Word Art in heavily, while making assignments or other deliverables for school. If you're unaware, WordArt offers a collection of styling techniques for text, introducing 3D effects like shadows and reflections in the text. It used to be one of the coolest things ever when I was at school and me and my classmates would often compete to ensure that our assignment's title in WordArt was truly the best and stood out above the rest. See some examples of WordArt, still present in the latest versions of Word below: Although WordArt is undeniably cool, it has taken a bit of a backseat, and has been relegated from the Home tab to the Insert toolbar, along with a bunch of other utilities, making it very easy to miss. This isn't exactly surprising because WordArt doesn't really have a place in academic and professional documents anymore, and while I have seen some creatives using it while developing promo material, even that sector has gravitated more towards dedicated graphic designing tools in the past years. For the vast majority of us, WordArt doesn't really exist, and that's alright. At least, it's still an option that can allow us to reminisce our childhood or even make some quick text stylization, if we really need it. Perhaps its usage has waned over time or the novelty has worn off, but I haven't even seen children use it in their academic assignments anymore. In fact, many don't even know that it exists. Maybe that's the fate of every beloved feature. What once felt cutting edge eventually becomes a relic, quietly tucked away as tastes, trends, and technology move on. WordArt may no longer dominate school assignments or decorate the covers of classroom projects, but for those of us who grew up with it, it remains a colorful reminder of a time when making text glow, bend, and cast giant shadows felt like the height of creativity. Hidden behind a few clicks in modern Word, it still survives not as a productivity tool, but as a small piece of computing nostalgia that refuses to disappear.
