May 5, 2010 - Ubisoft has confirmed to IGN the title of the next Assassin's Creed game.

A purported GameStop reservation placeholder card for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood has been leaked early by an employee. Ubisoft said the image below is authentic and that they'll have more information next week.

The game will be released this fall for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The details listed on the back of the card align with what Ubisoft has already confirmed, such as the inclusion of Ezio and the location, Rome.

"Live and breathe as Ezio, now a legendary master assassin, in his struggle against the Templar order. Lead your own brotherhood of Assassins and strike at the heart of the enemy. Rome," the card says, according to Kotaku.

"And for the first time, take part in an innovative multiplayer layer allowing you to embody an assassin of your choosing and define their killing style. A never-before-seen online multiplayer experience. Lead your own brotherhood of assassins, as Ezio, and conquer Rome."

Pre-ordering the game at GameStop will give you an exclusive multiplayer character. No details on who that might be. It's expected Ubisoft will announce its fiscal quarterly results later this month.

If it includes their wonderful new DRM, I'll pass. Same goes for any Ubisoft game that has it, sadly that includes the new Prince of Persia game. Still haven't played AC2 because of it.

Fully agreed. It's a sad affair, I can't wait for them to realize their mistake and turn back.

There is an emulator you can download to bypass the DRM if you buy the game so you can play offline (if it is against the rules simply to state that, then please delete this post). But, if you are not buying it simply because you refuse to support the developers who created the worst DRM of all time, then I fully understand :p

I honestly cannot believe they think online-required DRM is worth the small extra features that having the game always connected offers (such as instant notification and easier downloading of free DLC and what not).

Hmm, Not sure what to think, the game play was fantastic on AC2 however the story kind of went... No where. I thought we were going to see someone other than ezio?

How can you say the story went nowhere in AC2? It had two huge revelations.

I am disappointed that this is coming out just a year later, and with the same playable character. I was hoping for another jump in time.

This could be very cool with co-op assassin elements etc., or it will be very lame and just not work very well.

I agree.....it could be really awesome if two players could co-op an assassination, one player becomes a distraction (maybe acting like he is the assassin) so the guards go after him, and maybe even capture him. The other player can then either go free him, or (while the guards are busy with the distraction) complete the assassination, allowing the guards to realize the first person they had was just a distraction, and then turning to the second person, allowing the first person to come at the guards from behind.

Probably too much to make that type of thing work really well, but it would be epic if they could pull it off like that (and I do not mean simple scripted things, but dynamic distraction/assassination or just two full-blown assassination attempts, making it difficult for the guards to stop both).

I'd love to get on my high horse about the DRM, but the game plays like crap on a keyboard anyways (well, at least the first one did). If it doesn't turn out to be a total stinker, I'll grab a copy for my Xbox or borrow one from a friend just to continue the story.

And multiplayer? No thanks. I know it'll be afterthought-quality and full of cash-grab DLC.

I have Splinter Cell Conviction on the PC, and too be totally honest, the DRM didnt annoy me too much.

Doesn't really matter if it did or not. It's the principle of the matter. If we give in to them this sort of DRM will become the norm, and become worse. Soon we really will be renting games at full price. I can see it now, games with expiration dates. That's probably pushing it but I really don't doubt that the game companies will entertain the thought.

I see your point...

I quite liked ezio so I think this looks awesome. I do agree the story could have had a better resolution, hopefully we will see that in this game.

+1, if I have to have always on internet connection for pc, not buying pc. If I have to be signed in to PSN to play an OFFLINE mode, I'm not getting for PS3 either.

I for one can't wait for this to arrive (Y)

me either. it's gonna be awesome. (Y) So the Producers weren't lying about Ezio coming back. I just wished that they each series would be a different Assassin, you know ... a Assassin in each age. I hope the expand more on the NWO. but oh well. I take what I can get.

I think technically Altair has been in three games, not including the scene in AC2.

That's awfully fast. Am I the only one who gets the feeling that this will practically be AC2 with a different story?

I mean, how much could they really achieve in a year? And that includes adding a (probably worthless) multiplayer mode.

I love AC2, but I don't really feel like playing it again (although with a different story). After I finished that game, I felt that Ubisoft would really have to give everything to give this series a worthy ending. After reading this news though, I'm not sure if they're going to deliver.

Maybe I'm thinking negative, but I'm honestly afraid for the result coming this fall.

I do not think AC:B is designed to be AC3, which is why it is re-using Ezio instead of putting you in the shoes of another assassin. So will it be as good (storywise) as AC2? I doubt it, but its not suppose to be. I think AC:B will be to AC:2 as Crysis Warhead was to Crysis. Sort of a standalone expansion in both features and story, expanding farther on the original story but not so much that it will be a full-fledged sequal to it.

    • This Gigabyte AMD RX 9070 XT is very good deal despite the launch of 9070 GRE by Sayan Sen Recently we reviewed AMD's latest 1440p gaming card, the Radeon RX 9070 GRE 12GB, for $549. The card is in stock too at that price, though if you want significantly better performance and don't mind spending a bit more, the Gigabyte Gaming model of RX 9070 XT is currently on sale for just $650 (purchase link under the specs table down below). The card employs Gigabyte's WINDFORCE cooling system which combines multiple design elements such as alternate-spinning Hawk fans, a vapor chamber, and composite heat pipes to manage heat dissipation. The Server-grade Thermal conductive gel further helps in this department. The inclusion of a semi-passive cooling mode allows the fans to remain inactive under low workloads, which allows for reduced noise operation during lighter usage. There is dual BIOS switch that allows toggling between performance and silent modes. The technical specifications of the Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT GAMING OC 16G are given in the table below: Specification Value Core Clock Boost Clock: up to 3060 MHz Game Clock: up to 2520 MHz Stream Processors 4096 Memory Clock 20 Gbps Memory Size 16GB Memory Type GDDR6 Memory Bus 256-bit Card Bus Interface PCI Express 5.0 Maximum Resolution 7680 × 4320 Multi-View Support 4 displays Card Dimensions L=288 mm, W=132 mm, H=56 mm Recommended Power Supply 750W Power Connectors 3 × 8-pin Video Outputs 2 × DisplayPort 2.1a 2 × HDMI 2.1b Get it at the link below: GIGABYTE Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC 16GB Graphics Card, GV-R9070XTGAMING OC: $649.99 (Sold and Shipped by Amazon US) (Was: $740) This Amazon deal is US-specific and not available in other regions unless specified. • Why does this kind of tactic not surprise me?
    • They used AI based TOOLS to convert the JavaScript engine (the main rendering engine is still C++) and it was not fully automated but was human reviewed. Other subsystems will be looked into to also be converted to Rust in the future. I have no problem with any of that.
    • Why not just bring back Outlook Express at this point? It did everything I needed as a home email app.
    • No we just do it manually, our contact methods are calls, chats and e-mails. Whoever is doing the e-mail task for the day, deals with the e-mail, logs the appropriate ticket, adds the reference to the source e-mail and then files it in the appropriate folder. At least that's how it's supposed to work
