why does it not get released till 24th? weird...

was hoping I could go pick it up today after i got my check, presuming school is canceled... 2 hour late start and tons of ice... and of course the website that is the most up to date crashed :(

Yeah, just installed mine and i get the Server undergoing maintenance and then straight away i can go into GT Mode and everything else. So either a generic message for the game for the servers not being on/ready or lots of people are hammering the server... which means lots of places breaking release dates :laugh:

But basically, they say that it is a great game for sure, just that they focused too much on content instead of the gameplay. The feel of the car is not that great. It feels like the other gran turismo, which are now technically surpassed.

Managed to pick up a copy of GT5 today! :-D Walked into a Game store in Stockholm, saw they had a ton locked in the cabinet so I just asked for a copy to see what'd happen. He paused, smiled, and said "Certainly, sir".

The install is taking forever, though. I left it at the start saying "20 minutes remaining". Came back 10 minutes later and the bar was 1/4 through and it said "19 minutes remaining".

    • TO be clear I am not running linux today, however I keep thinking about it. And I want to make sure there are minimal obstacles if I decide to make that switch in the coming months.
