GT5 Spec 2.0 Coming in October, DLC to Follow

http://www.gtplanet....-dlc-to-follow/

"The GT5 Spec 2.0 update is coming the 3rd week of October, with DLC following a week later."

finally, while bug fixing has been great, and tweaks, and seasonal events. NO DLC is gay so far...plus they gotta do something to stomp on forza's parade.

"Hey it's me i'm Aaron lol"

I agree, i was waiting for DLC and that patch for the mid race saves so i could do the 24 hour races. I don't have the time like i did when it first came out, since i'm in college now.

I've been surprised there hasn't been a mountain of DLC, as the game is perfectly suited to it. I wonder if the earthquake interrupted Polyphony's original plans or something?

Yep, I am pretty sure I remember reading something that the earthquake definitely had something to do with things being delayed, etc.

Pretty pumped about the Spec 2 update. The GT5P spec 2 update was pretty significant and that was for prologue of all things.

Really craving booting up the game just now, but I also feel like holding out.

Spec 2 update:

  • Simplified interior views added to all standard cars.
  • User control of the weather change feature.
  • Settings sheet which allows you to save multiple car settings.
  • New Spec 2.0 opening movie.
  • Improved UI response and usability.
  • Replay forward/rewind.
  • Mid-race save feature for endurance races.
  • Expanded online lounge features (narrowing down car types, shuffle races…).
  • Expanded Photo Travel features (you can now take photos of cars together with your avatar).
  • Added “NASCAR Pit Scene” stage to Photo Travel.
  • Added 11 new 2011 NASCAR models.
  • Added the Nissan GT-R N24 Shulze Motorsport.
  • Improved physics and artificial intelligence.
  • Support for the Logitech G25/G27 steering wheel.

the Red Bull X1 can be obtained now, with a special time track Seasonal Event. Winning Gold will earn you 5 Million.

Do you have to get Gold to get the car?

If not, what a waste of hours upon hours spent learning the track and shaving off seconds restarting over and over for them to just give it away, lol.

The car is given to everyone who logs in for free cause Vettel won.

Managed to get gold in the event eventually, holy crap this car is fast. 1.23 was my time.

Is it even possible to even get a bronze using a gamepad? I mean this car is way too fast and way to sensitive ;) I barely manage to take any corner without going into the walls ;)

I know what you are saying, you basically have to go around on half throttle most of the lap. I gave up in the end lol

I kept invalidating my lap on the way around accidentally, lol, but the first time I made it around I did it in 1:14:843.

Though I wish they had told me there was a 20 Million limit on money, I only got 2 of the 5 million. But I did quit out quickly and it looks like it didn't save it, oh the fun of the game, lol.

Tell me about it. I had to bump up a few assists. Had them all off and I kept getting agonizingly close but making a mistake somewhere :p Took me about 30-40 mins I think to get gold with a controller.

The speed of the car is ridiculous, but awesome at the same time! The 5m credits will do me well for digging into endurance races once spec 2.0 hits.

It was lucky I quit out, it didn't save my progress on the track, so I bought a few cars to take me down to 13 million and then did the course again for the 5 million.

Though i did it 1:16:something this time, like 2 seconds slower, I was hoping to get better, lol.

Finally a new kick ass intro - http://www.gtplanet....ad.php?t=226540

I saw that Ferrari F10 Nurburgring video AB posted a few days ago on his Twitter; bloody awe-inspiring. :woot:

Can't wait for the DLC too. :) I did panic a bit at the price first, but then I saw the option to buy all the DLC in one hit at a discount, so fear averted. :p $11.99 in America, so hopefully it should only be £7.99 here; I'd call that fair. :)

    • "Revelation?" I was hoping for this episode to be called "Reunion". Oh, well... In a related note, the Final Fantasy VII compilation has received an EC entry, short for Ever Crisis. For those who don't know, it already had AC, BC, CC, and DC entries, short for Advent Children, Before Crisis, Crisis Core, and Dirge of Cerberus. I hope it doesn't get an FC entry becaude that would be a freakin' crisis.
    • Uh, after intense testing now, 'Samsung Browser' is not the best one outside of 'Microsoft Edge' after all. Opera Air is that. It has "some" bloat, but it's far less than what both Microsoft Edge and Brave browser have.
