Got the update this morning, can't tell you how long it took as I have the lovely benefit of PSN+ and it was already downloaded! If that kind of service isn't worth £2-3 a month I don't know what is :p

DLC looks interesting so will be picking that up on release, hopefully discounted for plus members too.

My PS3 has been running GT5 all day whilst I've been at Uni (had to leave before update was done), now is my chance to have a look around.

Apparently the standard cockpits aren't too bad, very lacking but apparently uniquely done for each car. I'll have a looksie! Also heard loading times have improved a good deal.

I don't know what they did to improve the level loading, it looks like loading the cars in afterwards, but the speed of some of them compared to how they were, it must me some sort of witchcraft, lol.

I can now concur that :o

Quite possibly my biggest pet peeve with GT5 was sluggish menus and load times, but the menus are nippy now and the load times have a noticeable decrease.

Ooh, all the positive feedback to Spec 2.0 is making even more excited to try it out tonight! :D

Bit of a shame I haven't got PlayStation+, so I'll have to wait for it to download. :p I might finally sign up around Christmas time. I've still got Xbox Live Gold for another 10-and-a-bit months, so I'm not in a hurry to renew that! :p

If you're needing XP/Money, everything is at 110% boost just now. So get downloading :p

Damn, should have waited before I did the Vettel seasonal event then; would have been an extra half-million credits then. :p

Hmm not entirely sure if it's on seasonal events, I'm doing some main game events.

I believe screen tearing has been reduced also, not seeing any any more, even with window wipers on. Might be track/condition independent.

I haven't played GT5 in months and I'm intrigued by this update. Is it available now to regular PSN accounts?

Yes.

And this is why I have an XP bonus, should of read more clearly :p

- Addition of the Consecutive Login Bonus

When a user logs in consecutively, a bonus will now be applied to experience and race rewards.

It will increase to 110% in the 1st day, 130% in the 2nd day, 150% in the 3rd day, 170% in the 4th, to a maximum of 200% in the 5th day. This will apply to all events both online and offline, so logging in every day will make the game progress faster.

there is no news on DLC pricing yet right?

edit: nvm... they have. definitely will be buying the complete pack. new kart racing course looks awesome.

also this update is huge. 1.2gb. good thing i started it before i left work, cause knowing my luck with PSN crappy slow servers it's gonna take about 2-3 hours to download and install.

Tell me about it, I started it at some point after 8, but didn't get to play it till around 12, it was the slowest GB I've ever downloaded, lol.

Improved load times? I think that's enough of an update to bring me back. Nicely timed update with Forza coming out too.

I'll be playing Forza while this downloads and installs.

That is a good idea, while it was downloaded I played a few hours of

Gears 3

, lol, and watched some TV.

it took you that long too, but the sounds of people on this forum i though the PSN servers in the UK are a lot faster then the crap we get here in on this side of canada...

Bloody hell, 1192MB. Now if this was on the PC, it wouldn't worry me and my 50Mb broadband, as it'd be downloaded in less than 5 minutes. :p Sadly, the PSN is much much slower. I swear it maxes out at around 500KB/s for me. :pinch:

Now, if PlayStation Plus gave you unlimited download speeds on top of everything else, I'd buy it in a bloody heartbeat.

BTW, it looks like it's gonna take me 40 minutes to download the update. Obviously, nowhere as slow as a few other unfortunate players on here, but I stick with what I said. :p

Usually it is fine, at least for me, downloaded from PSN has generally always used my full connection, but today it didn't want to play nice.

If I had known it was out much earlier than when I started, I would have gotten up, started it, and gone back to sleep so it was done for the morning.

Well my Playstation Plus turns the machine on and looks for updates at 3am. So yeah I have no idea how long it took my machine to download, but I do know that when I turned on the machine it was already downloaded and installed! So yeah that's pretty instant for me.

In other news, glad I waited to try get the 1min25 record :D

I'm up and updated now. :) At the moment, the menus are mostly loading slower; I'm guessing the servers are getting hammered. I'm liking the 110% on XP and credits though. :) My B-Spec drivers are bringing in bucketloads of credits and XP (if you fancy helping out, add me on PSN :p ), and the extra 10% makes it even better. All six of my drivers are Class 20 and above, and I'm not B-Spec Level 29. ^_^

Blimey, AB, I just checked your profile. A-Spec Level 23, B-Spec Level 1? No wonder you're swearing like a sailor!

Go to Driver List, select your driver(s), and select "Share with Friends"; that'll allow your friends to race your driver in Remote Races. Once you do that, just leave him for a week or two and watch the credits (and XP) roll in. ;)

    • Any decent ITSM will A) have a web form that allows a user to raise a ticket, if you're writing an email you can write a ticket. B) Monitor a mailbox and auto-generate tickets based on inbound mails for those users that really can't get their heads around the concept that if you have an issue you go to support.mycompany.com and fill in the box. From your description you're having users email the desk, and then having a human read each one and manually raise a ticket on behalf of the user.

    • I've never even heard of this browser before seeing this article. How does it differ from other browsers?
    • Fixing things? Have you ever tried linux? Everything works out of the box nowadays in most common hardware. This includes Wifi and Bluetooth. If anything, if they return back to windows is because they haven't found an equivalent program which often used on windows.
    • 18 months ago I bought the 4TB variant for $380 CDN. Now it is $1500 CDN [$949 US].
