****ing Chargers. Norv has to go.

I do not understand the Bengals... at all. I didn't get to watch the game since it was blacked out, so I can't say much. Something still needs to happen as far as coaching. I'd like Marvin Lewis to stay, but some other changes need to be made. We have had trouble getting the best talent on the field. See the link below. Evan Mathis, Atkins, Dunlap all sat most of the year and are good players. I think these are the things like Marvin Lewis is fighting over with Mike Brown who I think is in charge or has somebody else in charge of all that.

The ironic thing about Sunday's game was that you were missing both 85 and T.O. and arguably played better football.

I know. It confuses me. Those two cannot cause that much of a problem. I really don't think teamates and coaches would allow it if it was the case. Somebody would have called these 2 out if they were the problem. I think it's the Offensive Coordinator like i've said all year. He doesn't know how to use two good WR to their advantages.

You don't think T.O. and Ochocinco pose problems?

That's the kind of thinking that has the Bengals where they are right now. They need players committed to winning, and sacrificing for their teammates. Do you think those 2 are prepared to do that? If you do, then just watch some tapes of Ocho on the Monday night game against Pittsburgh this season. That display of selfishness was disgusting, and I think that attitude can sum up their team in a nutshell.

I remember around week 6 or so Cedric Benson was on Sirius NFL Radio (which I listen to almost every day) and he sounded so upset over how the team was playing and it didn't sound like the locker room had a great culture around it. T.O. finally sounded off calling out management, what other players are doing that to their own teams?

Those are just 2 instances that we've either seen on TV or interviews of other players on the team. What would it be like if you were in that locker room? I'm sure there's plenty more going on in there to suffocate the team than we even know. Once they get rid of TO and Ocho next season (which I think they will) I would bet money that the Bengals will have a better record than this season. That would be without the 2 "Superstar" wide receivers.

I think they pose very little of a problem... They cannot cause a team that talented to loose that many games by themselves...

What other team has lost consistantly for the last 20 years? Mike Brown is the fastest owner to reach 200 losses. Chad, Palmer and others hasn't shown any passion for this team. TO is the only one that has, and had a great year. We showed that we can win without those two, so I would be alright if we got rid of them but they aren't the problem. It's management and coaching. There are guys finally now starting on the line that should have been starting at the beginning of the season. We have a rookie DE that has like 8 sacks and has only started the last 5 games. Before that he didn't get a lot of playing time. We have another rookie DT that is creating pressure up the middle and he hasn't played that much. We have talent that wasn't on the field at the beginning of the season that should have been.

LETS GO PACKERS!

Rodgers for MVP!

Missed 2 games, 3rd in NFL QB rating, lost Ryan Grant and his biggest (maybe best) receiving option JerMichael Finley very early for the whole season. More YPG than Brady, career high in rushing yards (335) and completion percentage, 31 total TD's through the first 15 games.

Today, he is given his chance to pull his injury plagued team into the playoffs by taking on the div rivals Bears. Should be a very good game.

you're so funny, you should keep posting to keep the entertainment value in this thread going.

called it, falcons take division and NFC!!!

So the Steelers play the winner of Baltimore/Kansas City. I have not kept up with KC as closely in the past few weeks, but they look solid. I feel like Baltimore may have the edge over them, however. Either of those teams will be a tough competitor, but I believe since we have two weeks to heal our players, we should be coming at the competitor full force. Go Steelers!

and the news keeps getting better!

Lewis breaks the Bengals' eight-year record set by Paul Brown and his phone buddy, Wyche, with what is believed to be a two-year deal. And Brown declared at a late Tuesday afternoon news conference, "I think we?re going to have a better year next year, and it might get longer than that real fast.?

But it wasn't exactly a three-martini lunch a few hours earlier, when Lewis walked out of the day's second meeting just after noon without a deal. He wouldn't get into what the sticking points were with Brown, senior vice president Pete Brown, executive vice president Katie Blackburn and vice presidents Paul Brown and Troy Blackburn. Yet less than an hour after Brown's call a deal was signed and two hours later Lewis and Mike Brown were hinting at vague changes that indicated a coaching staff shakeup.

The key elements in the negotiations appeared to be potential coaching changes, the signing of assistants, and possible scheme changes with all options on the table to be discussed in the next few weeks, such as change in emphasis, reassignments or replacements. Lewis said he expects changes while Brown pointed out that Lewis has a deal as long as anyone on the staff.

The same article also says they FINALLY plan to get an indoor practice facility (after the CBA crap...)

    • The current Statcoungter desktop numbers has Google Chrome increasing it's market share this past year and currently commanding 75% share. Everybody else is just making up the numbers with even MS Edge losing 3% this past year and has dipped just below 10% share which is staggering considering it's default on every Windows deviced purchased. If these numbers are correct that terrible Edge number is both devastating and embarrassing for MS especially when you add in the terribly low Bing market share. This leads me to ask a couple of questions as the default browser holding just less than 10% market share seems really weird. It used to be that all Chromium browsers were being counted as Google Chrome in some cases.  Is this still happening? Do these high Google Chrome numbers contains some Edge user numbers?
    • Yeah, all web browsers seem to have some junk in them these days. The regular Brave browser has a lot of unnecessary stuff in it, similar to Microsoft Edge, so I don't see any benefits of using Brave over Microsoft Edge if you already have Microsoft Edge fully set up with adblockers and that. The cleanest or best free browser outside of 'Microsoft Edge' I’ve tried so far is 'Opera Air'. It still has some bloat, but nowhere near as much as Brave browser, for example. I also really like the web browser called 'Floorp' that is based on Firefox. I have a system wide Adblocking program for Windows 11 that doesn't just blocks ads in the the web browser, but over the whole thing. I don't really need a web browser with an inbuilt adblocker because of that.
    • I have been using Firefox for years.
    • I'd trust open source stuff on github more then closed source binaries from Microsoft.
