I have to get back on XBL - when I do I'll be online with MP

GT= savvy bunny

:D

Look, I know i'll never change your mind.

They are losing money buy someone not buying the game new. Sure they made money the first time the game was sold. But they lose potential money by someone buying it second hand instead of brand new.

I never said anyone should throw games in the trash. I just said that I don't see the issue with charging people a fee to play online. What's so wrong with that? Obviously it's working or else there would be huge backlash over it.

I know plenty of people peeved at EA for this on Hot Pursuit and another game that slips my mind atm... But 10 bucks is just way to much. I could understand 5 or less, but 1/6th of the game price is a little hefty. Maybe the game companies should set up a program with the used game stores that enables them to get some profit from the sales, instead of sticking it to the customer....

You two please stop. We get it, you both think you're right and the other wrong. Let's just talk about the game huh? ;)

Thank you :p So what does everyone think that have played it? I am on Act 3 out of the 7 and I have been playing for almost 3 hours on normal and have only died twice. There is something pretty cool that you get to control at the end of the second act into the third. My only grip is the texture resolution on the characters, the environments look amazing though same with the sound design. I have not tried the multiplayer though. As for the online pass, I understand why the companies want the $10 because they are not making anything on the game being bought used or rented. GameStop makes a pretty good profit on selling used games or they would not be in business, they give you 20-25 bucks for Black Ops and they turn around and sell it for $45 used making around a $25 dollar profit and the game companies make nothing on that. So again I think the $10 fee is resonable and if you don't agree buy the game new or do buy it at all ;)

Did you get it for ps3 or xbox? I picked it up on my lunch break and can't wait to play it tonight. :D

Loved the demo, thought it was pretty enjoyable.

360, I found the xbox one to be smoother and less washed out. I think I am going to avoid the PS3 for a while as far as multiplayer goes with all of the hacking going on.

I guess we just need to face the facts, there is more money to make on the consoles and that's why PC gamers get crappy ports. I used to be pretty hardcore in PC gaming but my 360 consumes most of my time because I can't afford to spend hundreds of dollars each year to keep up with the evolving technology and game engines. Buying a console pretty much keeps you current for at least the next 5 years from launch, mind you the PC will always have better graphics but it's not a huge deal breaker for more because most of the time its just increased texture resolution or screen resolution. That's just my opinion. Sorry the the PC port sucks, to bad there was not a demo for you guys to try first. :\

Tried the demo on the PS3, fun game but I am not a console FPS guy and my computer cant play the game. I will wait until I build a new computer (the price should be down then) to get it. Hell after reading the reviews here for the PC version I might get the console one then unless I try the PC demo. Damn Epic games and People Can Fly give the PC some love, dont forget the FPS roots.

* I think its funny people get 25,000 experience points just for getting the "Epic Edition"

PC version is great on my end. It might still be dx9, but I'm not having any problems. I do still need to defrag and there was a day one patch...but it rocks.

How did you get the patch?

I just installed the PC version from DVD (yes I actually purchased a hard copy LOL), and I will not be able to check it out until a bit later on tonight, but if I can get the patch now I would like to do that.

GFWL is the only way to get it I'm aware of.

Yep, thanks, I just got it. Believe it or not this is the first game I have used GFWL, well online at least, so did not realize the update came through GFWL. Installed already, although now for the life of me I have no clue were to put in my Limited Edition code? The card in the case says click on Limited Edition screen, which I have not seen anywhere.

I'm not sure, but in GFWL menu is there like a 'enter code' kinda thing?

I played for like an hour or hour and half and am at Act 2 Chapter 3 with 1 death on Normal. Game is Phenomenal. First game in a long time to keep my attention when playing single player. I usually dont play single player of games, but this game is beautiful.

I bought it for 360 because this feels so much better on 360 and since the PC did not get a demo / a ****ty response (refering to the "pc gamers are being whinny babies because they didnt get a demo") from epic was bs. Also if I really need to try it on my PC, ill find a way, but im quite happy with it on my Xbox.

Plan to play more tonight!

Gamerscore hasnt seen an increase for over a year now lol.

I've seen that with other GFWL games, they say something and require something else entirely. I assume as Razorwing said you use the GFWL Redeem Code option.

I checked it out super quick and did not see anything as that was my first instinct as well, so it is probably there and I just did not see it.

Gonna check it out soon, so I am sure I will figure it out.

The first time you try and login to gfwl in game it will immediately prompt you for your code.

I had trouble with this, I kept trying to enter my "limited edition" code and it failed, then realized there was another code on the instruction book in the case and that one worked.

the limited edition comes with two codes in the case. Enter the limited edition code when the game prompts you during install, and the normal code when gfwl asks.

I didn't see a limited edition prompt during install.

Just the normal cd key.

Redeem code worked, at any rate.

lol well I put the limited edition code in that prompt and it worked (its the first key that you see in the case so I assume thats what they expect people to enter) took me many failed attempts at putting the key into gfwl to realize there was even another key.

    • Hands on with the ProtoArc EM25: Affordable ergonomic mouse that focuses on the right things by Taras Buria ProtoArc is known for making all sorts of office products with a big focus on ergonomics and comfort. Its latest product, the EM25, promises a comfortable-to-use, affordable, and customizable mouse. We took one for a spin; here are our impressions. The ProtoArc EM25 is a $49.99 mouse, but right now, during Prime Day 2026, you can get it for just $37.99. Right off the bat, you can see that the EM25 is inspired by Logitech's MX Master lineup and the legendary MX Master 3/3S. Its shape and proportions are very similar, so for a person with large hands (right-handed person, mind you), the EM25 is very comfortable to use. The mouse fills the palm, and the thumb rests on a small extension, giving your wrist a small tilt to reduce strain. The mouse is made of black plastic without any coating, eliminating long-term wear concerns. However, I can see the main buttons and other areas you touch the most getting polished over time. Despite its size and bulk, the mouse is not too heavy. It weighs about 100 grams, which is significantly less than the MX Master 3S and its successor. It is no lightweight gaming mouse by any means, but it is not excessively heavy like the MX Master 4. The EM25 has a built-in storage for its USB dongle. It is a cleverly made magnetic flap that you open by simply pressing on it. Next to the flap, you will find the on/off switch, the 1,000 Hz sensor, and a DPI button (up to 8,000 DPI). I find the DPI button location a bit odd, and I would prefer it somewhere below the main scroll wheel. Still, given that I never change DPI on my mice, I will let it pass. What is more important is that, unlike MX Master 3/3S/4, the device switch button is located below the left-click button, which allows you to switch devices without lifting and flipping the mouse. For a multi-device setup, this is a perfect solution: the button does not require too much effort to use, it does not get in your way, but it is also easily reachable with your thumb. The main scroll wheel has two modes: ratcheted and free-flow. You can only change between them with a bright orange button (I like this little touch of color), which is sprung and requires some effort to press. The wheel is dead-silent in free-flow mode, but ratched is quite loud and stiff, perhaps even too much to my liking. I can hardly call it deal-breaking, but it will certainly take some time to get used to. The side scroll wheel, it is notched, silent, and pleasant to use. Next to it, you can find a piece of glossed plastic with connection indicators: Dongle, Bluetooth 1, Bluetooth 2, and the low battery indicator. By the way, the built-in battery is rechargeable via a USB Type-C cable, which is included. It is sleeved and has an orange velcro strap to keep it tidy. After using the EM25 for a few weeks, I can say that its main buttons are my absolute favorite. They have very pronounced clicks, which feel great with just the right amount of force required to register a press. I would say they feel like something in between regular mouse clicks and silent ones. You can hear and feel the springy switch, but it is not sharp or loud to the point of annoying you. As for back/forward and device switch buttons, they are very clicky and quite noisy. Unfortunately, there are no extra buttons that you can map to specific things like in the MX Master lineup. Besides great primary clicks, another thing I like about the EM25 is its 1,000 Hz sensor. In the world, where Logitech still uses 125 Hz sensors in $100+ mice, seeing a much faster sensor in a mouse that costs three times less is very refreshing. Also, all the settings and customization you make are stored on-device, and you do not need to install any software. Just open the web-based app and change all that you need. Speaking of customization, you can remap what buttons do, adjust the DPI, and the sensor speed. Sadly, gestures are not supported, but you can still map pretty much anything to each button, including shortcuts, media buttons, and more. I also recommend using software like XMouseControl, as it will let you remap the side scroll wheel. At the end of the day, the ProtoArc EM25 is a great mouse. Clearly inspired by the MX Master lineup, it takes the best of it and complements it with a much more wallet-friendly price tag, significantly better sensor, on-device memory, a built-in storage for the dongle, and more (it fixes everything that I complained about the MX Master 4 recently). And for only $37.99 during Prime Day, the EM25 is an easy recommendation. Buy ProtoArc EM25 mouse - $37.99 | 24% off with Prime As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
