Mac* - Not necessarily Mac users, More OSX users ;)

Oh pssh. My point remains valid, I'm also seeing fewer and fewer XP users :(

XP is old, why should anybody be sticking to it?

For the same reason I still have an amplifier from the 80s it does what I need?

Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (modded for 4gb+ of ram)

And how does one go about doing this "mod"? I was under the impression that the 4GB limit was fixed and not changeable.

Here's the link for more details: http://www.pallab.net/2009/12/30/enable-more-than-4gb-memory-in-windows-vista-7/

Just make sure you physically have 4gb + of ram before applying this mod

This is off topic, but i'm curious...

why should anyone install this patch and not use the x64 Win7 version?

Warning: The patches described in this article are kernel patches. They may result in unexpected hardware issues and expose your system to malicious exploits.

To be honest, reasons for not using x64 version are getting fewer and fewer everyday as drivers as well as software support has improved significantly.

The linked website is actually my blog. I don't expect there to be major hiccups during the procedure, but the disclaimer is to be on the safe side. Also, I think sfc might be able to undo the changes (not confident about this).
