[Official] CR-48 ChromeOS Laptop Shipment-Tracking

Recommended Posts

So what is the new format?

Semi-random reference numbers. A_Gamer figured out a way to track them (they aren't on the tracker yet, but he's saying that a shipment of ~2,000 went out today). Since tracking packages that aren't your own is a UPS ToS violation, he isn't providing links back to the website. The previous reference numbers were available on public lists, which is why he made them available previously.

guess we are going to have to actually do part of the work ourselves now instead. Oh well at least he figured it out.

You can't do the work unless someone else figures out the algorithm and posts a list.

It's a tracker in the sense that it'll still tell you how many are coming to your city, what the ship date is, and what the estimated arrival date is. The difference is that you won't be able to stalk the package.

Quite honestly I was a bit nervous having the reference numbers on the site to begin with; I have one possibly coming tomorrow (not sure if it's mine) and if it is mine I sure don't want someone swiping it off my front porch before I get to it.

2 were shipped to my town one was delivered, with the others set delivery date for the 16th keeping my fingers crossed!

I noticed those things comes a day before they are expected to arrive. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!

So far only one was delivered to my town... Bleh

maybe. i was honest with them, and told them i rarely use google products besides my android phone, and gmail. :D Everything else was microsoft and so on.

I was also honest, but told them that my business could realistically benefit from the cloud. Here's to hoping!!

Mine couldn't possibly have come a day early (today) because it was just scanned one state over about an hour ago. :p

*ahem*

If it's mine, that is.

Does the tracker show what ups center they are sending it to, or the actual area the person lives in?

the closet UPS center is about 50 miles away (wichita) and they have several of them that got shipped yesterday.

It's only show the city that it going to.

    • Being on GitHub doesn't make something safe. Like any unofficial scripts to do x or y this caters to people with just enough knowledge to be dangerous. If you want to do what this does, and you actually know what you're doing then write your own script (or maybe just add the reg keys yourself) if you don't have the ability to read and understand what a script is doing, and especially don't run it with elevated privileges. Or in this case just use an MSA, sign up the normal route, and stop trying to push water up hill
    • Dude get a clue, LTSC is Enterprise, not even legal for consumers, and ESU is not mainstream support cycle, just an extended security updates period.
    • Nvidia is your issue more so than linux itself. I did used it for a while with an old 1060 3gb, but using propietary drivers was kind of messy.
