Has anyone had this problem:

In FF4/5, if you snap the window either to the left or right in Windows 7, minimize the snapped FF window and then maximize it again, FF "forgets" the size of the window when you try to unsnap it. Has this issue been fixed in post-5 versions?

Not a fan of the overly curvy tab design, looks like wasted space. I much prefer the old tab design in the 3.6/3.7 mockups, but I think that was dropped due to certain underlying issues.

Edit: lol, I forgot the OS X theme still has the old tab design. It was just dropped from the Windows theme for some reason then.

I haven't noticed that problem before as I don't use Aero snap. but the problem exists still in today's nightly. so the problem is still not fixed.

Well that sucks. Thanks for the info, I use Aero snap a lot and most of the time it doesn't bug me since I don't minimize FF in that state but once in a while it slips up.

The wavy tabs in Chrome were tolerable, but I was glad to have rectangular tabs when I moved back to FF4 when it was released. It's just far easier on eyes and less distracting. The focus should be on the content of the webpage, not at the tabs.

However, I do like the blending in of the tabs that are not in focus. Basically follows the same principle that I just mentioned above.

been running the beta for 6 however, i am assuming soon it will update to the 7 beta once 6 is released.

The mockups are based on the Nightly channel, which is currently in FF8. Assuming they do implement any changes to the UI, it won't reach your beta stage at least for another 8-9 weeks.

Agreed the curvy tabs are distracting.

Not that bad unless you have a solid white background.

really awesome! BTW can u work on autohideable forward button too? it should appear only if u have something in forward page. Thats what the mockup is about and there is a bug already present https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=674744

Just added it :p I'll make a topic in OS customization so we don't clutter this one. I still need a name for this theme.

Anyone using the Forecastfox addon and latest nightly experiencing crashes when hovering the forecasts? It crashes every time.

Also seems the automatic cache is clearing the cache almost every time i exit the browser. With the aurora build it was going up to 600-900MB.

    • Absolutely NOBODY has suggested such a conclusion. I am affirming the sober reality check that AV2's overall market adoption will take longer than AV1's adoption rate -- which, by the way, is the whole point of the article! While PCI-SIG is productive (on paper), other WGs have created all sorts of confusing progress plans that consumers have tuned-out of their improvements... HTML/W3C, USB, HDMI, BT, WIFI (ieee802.11) as a few other groups where spec naming conventions, split progress paths, overlapping ambitions... I'm not critiquing the AV specs group; I'm simply affirming that adoption for AV2 faces headwinds beyond the macroeconomics of it all.

    • No thanks! WebView trash is unacceptable. I only use software that's native.
