A new image shows off alleged front panel of Xiaomi's near bezel-less Mi MIX 2

The Xiaomi Mi MIX made its debut late last year and it instantly took many by surprise with its near bezel-less display that screamed like it was something from the future. Fast forward to 2017 and many of the major manufacturers are now following suit, pushing the boundaries of technology.

Xiaomi has announced a date for the arrival of the Mi MIX 2, but over the past month, we have seen little bits here and there, giving us a glimpse of what is to come. With a little over a week to go before the official event, a new image has surfaced online, showing off what looks to be the front glass from the handset.

With LG, Samsung, and others already setting the stage with their releases, it will be interesting to see how far Xiaomi has come over the course of a year. Like the first Mi MIX, French designer Philippe Starck will be at the helm when it comes to the handset's design. As mentioned before, Xiaomi will hold an event to announce the Mi MIX 2 on September 11.
