Amazon checking AWS S3 issues, meanwhile many of your favourite sites take a hit

It looks like the US-EAST-1 AWS S3 services are facing some issues and Amazon is working on fixing those, however, many websites globally are now loading slowly or have become unresponsive.

It is too early to call it an outage, but Amazon Web Services are currently facing some issues that are causing some websites to slow to a crawl of go offline entirely.

The company's status tracker mentions that the US-EAST-1 S3 services are facing availability issues and it is looking into the matter. There is no ETA provided by Amazon and we do not know the exact extent of the problem right now.
