If you are unable to properly check Amazon listings or things like your order history or even logging in to your account when you are trying to do so, then you are not alone as many users are confirming that such services are currently down.
AWS recently had such an outage, which it said was caused by an internal bot, and it looks like such an issue may have struck again. The AWS status page confirms that there have been ongoing problems since a few days already and currently it is affecting Amazon.
The latest update there continues to maintain that the problems are in the AWS Middle East (UAE) Region, although other places may be affected too.
Downdetector is currently showing signs of activity from Amazon visitors as they are reporting the issue.
We will update this post when more details are available.
Update, March 6 2025, 3.00 GMT: Amazon reached out to Neowin clarifying that Amazon's AWS servers are currently properly functioning, although it did also acknowledge that visitors are having issues on the Amazon shopping site; however the previous AWS issues do not have any relation to the current issues users were having on the company's shopping site, said the Amazon spokesperson.
They offered the following statement to Neowin a few hours ago:
We're sorry that some customers may be experiencing issues while shopping. We appreciate customers' patience as we work to resolve the issue.
We will be adding more details when we have them.
