Amazon's Prime Day officially starts tomorrow, but the online retailer is wasting no time in making some deals available to Prime members. Specifically, the Echo Show 5 and Echo Auto devices are seeing some major price cuts in the United States.
The Echo Show 5, Amazon's smart display with a 5.5-inch screen and Alexa integration, is at half its usual price, costing just $44.99 instead of the usual $89.99 price tag. Smart displays include the usual Alexa voice controls, but you also get visual information, like a clock and weather, and you can even watch videos and movies on it.
But that's not all, because Amazon is even combining this deal with a couple of bundles. You can get the Echo Show 5 with a Blink Mini security camera for an extra $5, making the whole package just $49.99, a pretty sizable reduction from the usual combined price of $124.95. Likewise, you can bundle the Echo Show 5 with an Amazon Smart Plug instead, and it will also cost $49.99 instead of $114.98. If those devices aren't your thing, you can also get a one-year subscription to Food Network Kitchen at no additional cost, or pay an extra $0.99 for a three-month subscription of Amazon Kids+.
If you'd rather have Alexa in your car, Amazon is also running a significant sale on the Echo Auto, it's voice control device designed for in-vehicle use. Usually costing $49.99, Prime members can get it for just $19.99 now.
Over in the UK, the Echo Show 5, and you can get it for £39.99 instead of £79.99. You can also get it bundled with an Amazon Smart Plug for £49.99 (down from £104.98) or with a LIFX white bulb for the £44.99 (down from £94.98). The Echo Show 8 is also discounted to £59.99 (down from £119.99), and you can also bundle it with a LIFX white bulb for £64.99 (instead of £134.99). The Echo Auto is also discounted in the UK, though only to £29.99 (down from £49.99).
If you're just looking for a smart speaker, the third-generation Echo Dot is discounted to £18.99 (down from £49.99), and it's available in a bunch if bundles - add an Amazon Smart Plug for a total of £28.99 (down from £74.98); a LIFX white bulb for £23.99 (down from £64.98); or a Philips Hue color bulb for £38.99 (down from £99.98). Additionally, Amazon's Echo Buds, which include Alexa integration, are discounted to £79.99, down from £119.99, which is pretty significant savings of £40.
Of course, as the name of the sale suggests, these discounts are exclusive to Amazon Prime members, and they're running until October 15 (specifically, until the very end of October 14), so you may want to grab them quickly if you're interested.
