Nearly a year after launching Prime Music in Canada along with Alexa and the Echo devices, Amazon is now rolling out its Music Unlimited service in the country. The company announced today that the premium music streaming service is available to Prime members in Canada for CDN$7.99 (~US$6.16) per month or CDN$79 (US$60.9) per year.
Additionally, there are multiple price plans Prime customers can choose from including the family plan costing CDN$14.99 per month or CDN$149 per year for up to six members and the single device plan for CDN$3.99 per month with full access to Amazon Music Unlimited on one Echo device. For non-Prime customers, there's the individual plan that costs CDN$9.99 per month and the monthly subscription of the family plan as well. For a limited period, an Amazon Music Unlimited 90-day trial subscription will also be available.
The music streaming service offers millions of songs and thousands of playlists along with a number of Alexa-powered voice controls. The tracks can be accessed with Alexa on the Amazon Music app for iOS and Android on top of the Echo smart speakers.
Amazon Music Unlimited was first launched in the U.S. in late 2016 before it came to the U.K. a month later. Earlier this year, the service was also released in Australia and New Zealand.
