Amazon offering more rewards on Whole Foods purchases for Prime members

If you shop at Whole Foods Market for organic produce, pet foods, and seafood, you might be delighted to learn that Amazon is offering 5% back on your purchases at the supermarket chain when using the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Card. That's on top of the rewards you're already eligible to anywhere else you shop such as the 5% discount on all purchases from Amazon.com and 2% off at restaurants, drugstores, and gas stations for all Amazon Rewards Visa Cardmembers.

John Mackey, Whole Foods Market co-founder and CEO, said:

We are excited to launch the Amazon Rewards Visa Card in our stores, offering benefits to our customers on all of their purchases at Whole Foods Market.

Non-Prime members won't be left out in the cold, though, as they're still eligible to earn 3% back on Whole Foods Market purchases when using the Amazon Rewards Visa Card. It's perhaps important to note that there's no cap on rewards earned and that rewards are always redeemable and will never expire as long as your account remains open.

This new offering means millions of Amazon Prime members will be able to earn more rewards on Whole Foods Market purchases. Amazon revealed last December that its Prime members soared by more than four million during the past holiday seasons.
