USB Type-C is becoming more and more mainstream with laptops, computers, and smartphones. Companies have started being more open to adopting the connector and there are also many different types of accessories being made to utilize the versatile port.
Today, AOC introduced its latest display, the I1601FWUX, which is a 16-inch portable display. The monitor is slim and lightweight measuring in at 8.5mm and weighing in at 800 grams. The size is made possible by its use of USB Type-C that allows it to receive power and also a video signal from supported devices.
As far as the details go, the I1601FWUX offers:
- 15.6” 1080p IPS display with a 700:1 contrast ratio
- 5ms response time at 60Hz
- Portrait or landscape support
The monitor will also come with a travel case that doubles as a stand while also minimizing extra bulk while in transit. The monitor's convenience is further bolstered by the fact that only a single cable is required in order to get it up and running.
