Batman: The Enemy Within finale will be Telltale's "branchiest" episode ever

Telltale Games is preparing to launch the fifth episode of its Batman interpretation later this month, bringing the storyline's second season to a close. Batman: The Enemy Within began its adventures in August last year, introducing some fresh faces as well as some familiar ones to put the Caped Crusader against a new threat.

The final episode is titled Same Stitch, and while the developer hasn't released a trailer for the episode just yet, we do have the episode description below for those unperturbed by spoilers:

What would you choose: a friend whose unhinged approach to justice turns your allies against you, or a sworn enemy who will stop at nothing to see you suffer as your city burns? Based on the relationship you've built with John Doe, you'll see one of two very different stories play out. So what'll it be, Bruce: friend...or foe?

According to Telltale, the episode will consist of three and a half hours of content, bringing storylines that branch off depending on what choices players will make in the final episode as well as what they opted to do in previous episodes. The developer even calls Same Stitch the "branchiest" episode it has ever made, with the script being "larger than Christopher Nolan's entire Dark Knight trilogy."

The finale will go live on March 27, with it heading to Windows, macOS, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and mobile devices. A physical disk version of the game is also available for the two console platforms, which arrives with the first episode on the disk while the rest need to be downloaded.
