Bing brings summertime fun with new textbook and online course search

Bing has added two new features just in time for summer that will cater to those who want to catch some online courses or books during the off-season. The new feature will be available starting today.

For those looking for some educational fun during the off-season, Bing has updated their search page just in time for summer. Today, it has unveiled two new features that will cater to those looking for online courses and new reading materials. The results will automatically be displayed in the side pane making the results convenient and easy to read. Although the results for online courses are a mixed bag, We have reached out to the Bing team to see what the criteria might consist of for it to be included into the new search results.

The second feature functions in a fairly straightforward manner allowing the user to search for books and having the results appear in the side pane. The difference from a standard search is that the side pane will have an excerpt from the book, a link to a location where it can be downloaded, and locations of where the title is available for loan. The new search features are live starting today. We will update this article once we hear back from the Bing team regarding how it curates its search results.
