As part of Amazon's Deal of the Day offerings, the Fire HD 8 tablet has been discounted down 33% off today for just $59.99 (normally $89.99) for the 32GB model which is a savings of $30. The 64GB model also received a slightly lesser discount of 25% off, bringing its price down to just $89.99 also saving $30 off the $119.99 list price.

As a reminder, this Fire HD 8 tablet is the 10th generation 2020 release and is available in Black, Plum, Twilight Blue or White. It includes a Quad-core 2.0GHz processor with 2 GB of RAM, and either 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage (expandable for up to 1TB with microSD). It also has Dolby Atmos for a premium audio experience and a 1280x800 189 ppi display.

There's also a feature called Show Mode, which pretty much turns the tablet into an Echo Show. It will show you news, weather, camera feeds, and so on. The big difference now is that you previously either had to have the screen on or have the device plugged in to access Alexa features like that and now you don't.

This deal is also for the "Special Offers" variant which shows ads on the lock screen, but if you spend an extra $15 you can get the ad-free version. This qualifies for free delivery and free returns if you are not satisfied. You can also add a two year extended warranty for $12.74.
