Dragon Ball's Broly teased as a character in Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

While we wait for Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to arrive at the end of the year, new characters are slowly being announced. Now, it looks like Dragon Ball's Broly could make an appearance.

Due to a horrific earthquake that took place in Japan, Nintendo made the wise choice to postpone its Direct presentation until an unspecified date. Despite this, there has been news trickling out from other outlets about what could have been announced and it looks like the "Legendary Super Saiyan" might be making an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

While it has yet to be confirmed, Funimation sent out a teaser tweet, showing the silhouette of what appears to be Broly. If you aren't familiar with the world of Dragon Ball, Broly is probably one of the most popular non-canon characters in the Dragon Ball universe. The character first made an appearance in the feature-length film, Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan, back in 1993. Despite appearing in two other films, fans have always wanted more.

Although we will have to wait for confirmation about the character appearing in the game, fans will find some solace this winter, as Broly will be the main antagonist in the upcoming movie, Dragon Ball Super: Broly.
