ESRB clarifies position

Entertainment Software Rating Board clarifies position on rating online games.

Representatives of the Entertainment Software Rating Board recently sought to clarify its position on rating packaged software. In a previous GameSpot news story, it was noted that the board had assigned an "AO" (Adults Only) rating to Peak Entertainment's online casino, when, in fact, the rating was assigned to Peak Entertainment's PC product, titled Peak Entertainment Casinos. The ESRB's president, Patricia Vance, wanted GameSpot readers to know exactly what products the ESRB does and does not rate.
