Following an explosive launch last month, the newest game by Sifu developer Sloclap, Rematch, has already passed five million players. Now, following several hotfixes, the football/soccer game is ready to receive its first major update, and it's filled with a massive amount of bug fixes, as well as a couple of highly requested features. Unfortunately, crossplay is still some time away from being implemented.
With today's 1.200.100 update, controller remapping is finally here for customizing all the inputs, with button combination support coming later. Better ball hit detection has also arrived to make sure goalkeeper deflections and catches are reliably calculated. Better goal validation on the goal line as well as netcode improvements are included too.
Fixes for goal replay camera jitters, better body blocking, end-match screen skipping and scoreboard viewing issues, post-goal crashes, as well as a large range of animation improvements for taps, volley shots, dives, pushballs, and others are included in today's update. Even a colorblind mode supporting deuteranopia, protanopia, tritanopia is here for changing outfit colors, with a complete filter being prepared for the next patch.
Sloclap will also be setting up test servers to get players to try out upcoming gameplay changes, making sure a stable experience reaches the masses when they are ready.

As the studio explained in a recent blog post, features like crossplay between all platforms and player reporting for bad conduct are still 6-9 weeks away from launch. It is also working on bringing in mouse and keyboard play improvements, more ranked queues other than just 5v5, better matchmaking systems, as well as server improvements to offer more stable matches.
