Halo show has biggest debut ever on Paramount+

This is a still from the Halo show on Paramount

The Halo show finally premiered on Paramount+ yesterday, and according to the streaming service, it's already shattered records. ComicBook.com posted a statement by the network saying that it was the most-watched series premiere on the new streaming service. The outlet reported the following.

Paramount has revealed that the Halo series had a record-setting debut and became the most-watched series premiere for Paramount+ within 24 hours, but no viewership numbers were revealed. Halo has dethroned Yellowstone spin-off, 1883, as the previous holder of this record.

The Halo show has already been renewed for a second season. Hopefully, Paramount will reveal the viewership numbers one day even though Paramount+ is a new service with not that many subscribers compared to Netflix.

The Halo show emphasizes on the search for the titular Halo ring and focuses on Master Chief and Cortana as the primary protagonists. However, there are many other characters introduced in the first episode and it'll be interesting to see where their stories take us.
