MachineGames, the developer behind hits like the modern Wolfenstein and Indiana Jones games, is turning 15 this year, and the studio is kicking off its celebrations with a major content update for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. It says that the update is filled with community-requested features, including New Game+ with a special reward.
The New Game+ mode from the Anniversary Update will become available when players complete the adventure game's campaign. Found on the main menu, it will ask for a save slot with a completed game when selected. This will kick off the setup menu for New Game+.
This mode lets players carry over all collected and unlocked Adventure Books, unspent Adventure Points, local currency, and medicine bottles from the selected save. "Because you’ll be significantly stronger this time around, we recommend bumping your difficulty up," says MachineGames. "You can adjust this during the New Game+ setup."
To entice players to jump into this New Game+ experience, the studio has also expanded the ending of the campaign. Players sitting through the credits after finishing New Game+ will now see a brand-new ending sequence.
The update is also a new outfit for Indiana. Inspired by his Raiders of the Lost Ark 'jacket-free Cairo look,' the free cosmetic can be found in the Outfit tab in the Options menu.
Voice Language Select is also a new feature of the update, letting players mix and match any of the nine available voice languages with any of the fourteen text languages. Lastly, a Power Saving mode is being put into the Xbox Series X|S version. This will lower resolution and frame rates automatically when the controller is idle for a long period of time and ramp back up when activity is detected. The studio is looking to port this feature to other platforms in the future too.
The Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Anniversary Update is landing tomorrow, October 10, across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Find the complete patch notes here.
