Leaked NoDo update available for Omnia 7

When it comes to Windows Mobile 7 and Samsung, it certainly seems that owners of the Omnia 7 and Focus are not only slow to receive updates for Windows Phone 7, but also experience issues during the update process.  Fortunately, there are several non-official paths for those that wish to install the latest and greatest version of WP7.

The user Jesher2000 on samfirmware.com has posted a "leaked" firmware update for the Omnia 7 which supposedly contains the NoDo update.  Posted along with this update is also a firmware for the Galaxy S II.  Samfirmware.com is not affiliated with Samsung in any way, and according to their FAQ,

"Q: How do you get all those files, and are they official?
A: We get the files from websites, forums and blogs. Sometimes we get [emails] from Samsung insiders who wants to help us. All our files are official Samsung firmwares.  But remember We copy and test them only! We have no access to get those files."

Unfortunately, we are not certain as to the validity of the firmware, as we don't have an Omnia 7 to test with. Another consideration when applying this firmware is that Microsoft has announced that they will be resuming updates to the Omnia 7 after resolving issues with their earlier update package.  As with any non-official firmware, we strongly suggest considering the pros and cons, as there is always the possibility of bricking your device.
