Leap motion gesture add-on to be bundled with some HP PCs

Leap Motion has announced that its upcoming motion sensing hardware add-on will be bundled with some HP Windows 8 PCs and will eventually be embedded inside upcoming HP PC products.

Leap Motion has previously stated that its Leap motion-gesture add-on for Windows and Mac PCs will start shipping for pre-orders on May 13th. Today, the company announced it will have the Leap add-on bundled with a number of Windows 8 PCs made by HP.

Today's press release did not specify which HP products would have the Leap add-on, but it did say that those HP PCs would also come pre-loaded with Airspace, which is the downloadable software store for the Leap. Specific financial terms of this new partnership were not announced, nor was a date for when the HP PCs with the Leap device would start going on sale. Leap Motion did say that future plans for their collaboration with HP include being able to embed their hardware directly inside HP products.

Leap Motion previously announced a partnership with Asus to bundle the Leap with some Asus PCs. Meanwhile, the Leap is still available for pre-order on its official site for the price of $79.99 and Best Buy will begin selling the device in its stores starting on May 19th. So far, the company has yet to reveal a specific number of how many pre-orders it has received.
