Microsoft announces its third Connect() developer event will be held in NYC

Microsoft today announced details of its third Connect() developer event, which will be held on November 16 and 17 in New York City. The company promises it will be its best Connect() conference yet.

Microsoft today announced its third Connect() developer event, which will be held in New York City on November 16 and 17. At the event, the company is promising that "Executive Vice President Scott Guthrie and Principal Program Manager Scott Hanselman, alongside leading industry innovators, will share the latest innovations from Visual Studio, .NET, Xamarin, Azure, SQL, Windows, Office and more."

The news about the event was posted to The Visual Studio Blog, but it's entirely possible that there may be some Windows news there. Other than the Windows 10 Mobile features announced at Ignite 2016, we really don't know much about what's coming in Redstone 2, and there will likely be an event to show all of that off before we see it in Insider Preview builds.

Of course, it's a developer event, so we'll definitely hear more about Visual Studio '15', and Microsoft will likely give it an actual product name. Xamarin and Azure news will be staples of the event as well.

You can save the date for Connect() 2016 by heading over to the event's website and adding it to your calendar. The livestream will begin on November 16th at 8:30 AM Eastern Time.
