Microsoft Band is now available for just $79.99

Microsoft's first-generation Band went on sale last year for $199, but with the recent launch of its successor, it's now available for far less - indeed, you can now buy it for under eighty bucks.

Microsoft's Band 2 went on sale last week in the United States, priced at $249.99 - surprisingly, $50 above the launch price of its predecessor. But with the recent launch of its new wearable, Microsoft and its retail partners are continuing to clear stock of the first-generation Band - and that means you can pick it up for a fraction of its original price.

The first Band has been available for as little as $99.99 in the last few weeks - but today, its price reached a new low at Best Buy, where you can now purchase it for just $79.99, saving $120 on its full retail price.

That seems like a particularly impressive deal when you consider that Microsoft itself is currently offering the original Band for $129.99 - that's $50 more than Best Buy's latest price.

As always with such promotional offers, there's no guarantee that this one will be available indefinitely - so if you're thinking of grabbing the Band for under $80, it may be best not to wait too long.
