Microsoft is offering 50% off select accessories for some of its Lumia Windows phones, in what it's referring to as a 'clearance sale'. The discount applies only to a handful of covers and cases for some of the company's older handsets.
Indeed, just four accessories are listed as part of this promotional event, and one of those - the Incipio NGP case for the Lumia 950 XL - isn't even being offered with a discount, remaining at its regular price of £14.99.
The Flip Shell for the Lumia 640 XL has had its price cut from £19.90 to £9.95, and is available in black, orange or blue. An orange rear cover for the Lumia 435 and Lumia 532 is also offered for £2.49, down from £4.99. However, the Flip Shell for Lumia 640 - priced at £4.99, down from £9.99 - is already sold out.
It's not surprising to see the company clearing out inventory of products designed for some of its older devices. But given that all of Microsoft's Windows 10 Mobile handsets have also been out of stock on its UK store for almost six weeks, some users may well be hoping that the company soon offers discounts on its accessories for those devices too.
