Microsoft reveals tentative Flight Simulator SDK release dates and more

In today's development update for its upcoming Flight Simulator title, Microsoft has moved back the preview SDK version's release, and also revealed a tentative date for the first official version.

A couple of weeks back, Microsoft announced that recruitment for its upcoming Flight Simulator's Tech Alpha 2 was heading to a close. The session officially ended last week, with another one to open in mid-January. Microsoft also announced a Partnership Series update the same day, which included a recount of the team's visit to aircraft partner CubCrafters in regards to making the game better.

In today's development update, Microsoft has unveiled some tentative release dates for the initial versions of the title's SDK. Along with that, some new media from Tech Alpha participants have been showcased, and the first Feedback Snapshot has been uploaded in the Insider Area.

With regards to the SDK - Preview Version, its release has been moved back to mid-January. Microsoft believes that this release will serve as a great introductory point for third-party developers to the game. Their feedback and requests will be considered and prioritized by the Flight Simulator team moving ahead. After that, the first official release for the SDK is expected to be made available around March.

As far as the Feedback Snapshot is concerned, it can only be viewed by Insiders so you'll need to sign up if you want to take a look. It will be updated further in a few weeks time to showcase information regarding the progress that has been made on each feedback entry up till that time.

Notably, since holidays are just around the corner, instead of a usual weekly update coming our way on December 26, the next development update will be provided after three weeks, on January 9.
